Maybe someone forgot about it. Nokia 703 is in mid-range category. In GSMArena blog, it says: 'The higher the first number, the richer its features and higher the price point will be. So for example when we hear Nokia 110, we will immediately think a budget device with only the basic features covered (and we will be right). The opposite goes for, say, Nokia 920.'
Therefore, Nokia 703 is mid-range phone with decent HW and SW

why is everybody so negative? Looks solid, nice design (imao though) and Nokia isn't dumb (enough...). It'll probably be a mid-range phone, perhaps the first "Tango" phone?

From the comments posted here, the smartphone market is exactly like the automobile market. Nobody buys cars without a VTEC BiTurbo Hybrid Low Emission Diesel V8 with 400Nm of torque. Anything else is so last year...

5mp is not a problem if the camera sensor and lens are good. MP doesn't means quality, even an very old 3Mp DSLR camera is incomparably better than a 12Mp cameraphone. The problem is that 5Mp is not competitive anymore for dumb people.

In fact I desperately love Harmattan and I'm just not sure about what I think of WP7... But we all know the hardware specs aren't everything, meaning an impressive OS can pretty much do the trick.
My point was - it would be ridiculous to launch an expensive high-end device right away. Nevertheless, in time there will be one!

I'm surprised, good move nokia! i have said many many times that only thing how nokia might sell these WP7 phones is keep screen size small enough. good job nokia!
Big reason for bad WP7 sells is because the phones are way too big. Those big screen phones are mostly for tech people and WP7 can't offer anything for them. WP7 is for average users but phones aren't. I have no idea what micorosoft is doing and why they dont understand this. Most of people still wants smaller screen!
