Sony have poor tech brand dept., this device is sexy if they bumped the memory to 16gb and ram to 1gb, i would have choosen this instead of Samsung galaxy s2.

            disappointing :(
if SE didn't want to produce dual-core phones due to no use for it right now. it will be fully used in a month or so with the new android version. however, if they are planning to produce dual-core later on and just wanted to produce this phone to catch up with other strong phones, they should have at least increased the RAM and internal storage. from 1 to 1.4GHZ can be easly done by overclocking your old ARC, in fact you can overclock it to 1.9GHZ, even though it is not safe.

Cokesman, 01 Sep 2011You guys should focus on giving other phones the messangers... moreIt already exists for all android and iPhone devices in the form of various apps. I bet Windows Phone 7 has it too. That means both Sony Ericsson and Nokia users can access these features that you talk about.

The ARC was a massive flop for our stores, we barely sold a handful since the handset was released. GS2 completely stole the show. Overall it wasnt a bad spec handset... im not convinced people are going to be interested, even with the improvements.

SE never catches up Sammy on specs. BUT Sammy will never catch up the design of SE. Samsung phone looks plain ugly!

Wow! A lot of comments have been +1 rated with negative feedback on this new phone.
Comments that are suggesting SE should use single core and dual core have been +1 rated. Make up your mind people! :D
I personally like the looks of this phone (even the extra fat phones from SE looked good) and I also like the 1.4GHz beast.
SE should add a bit more RAM (1GB) and this phone would be even cooler.

I don't want to talk about spec. I just talk cabout the price. Yes, Samsung Galaxy S II nearly as same price as SE Xperia arc, IF BUY IT AT THE AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR!
BUT, especially in Asia, most of us buying our phone from Grey Importer (or AP(approved product) handset) where you can get good quality at the best price. SE and Nokia phone can easily buy from grey importer because most of their phones be assembled in China, where they can produce more phones for low cost(and good quality). So the importer guy just bought it in bulk from their factory and selling it at lower price than Authorized Distributor. Samsung the other hands 100% produce their phone on their own country. So the cost for produce one phone is higher than China.

good processor but poor RAM... i still prefer galaxy s2 because of it's better RAM.

disappointing Sony Ericsson. consumers nowadays are smarter than you think. you can't just put a product in the market just bragging it's processor. a more balanced processor and RAM is required rather than having a powerful processor but outdated RAM.
