AnonD-20247, 01 Sep 2011Why would you require dual or quadcore to make call sms ema... moreBecause a phone is not a phone anymore. The year is 2011, not 1990s/early 2000 s. Technology changes all the time, you'll hear very little people such as yourself who say a phone is for sms and calling. Maybe older generations who can't adapt to change or technophobes but the majority of consumers use thier phone as thier mp3 and internet social media hub. Stick with the times dude, people don't use the Nokia 3310 anymore, well the masses, maybe a minority still do.

AnonD-20233, 01 Sep 2011what SE need do for users in Nigeria is 2 work on baterry l... moretalkin about battery life, SE is ok. D real ba3 killers in SE phns r d brightness and heavily customize apps runing in d os that make them phns unique. My t700i last me 2 and half days or 2 on heavy multitasking and browsing. While my 5130 manages a day or 2 even without multitaskin. It was in d days of k700i and z series nt nw. SE battery life is ok.

Single core processor, 1/2 GB ram..
Sony, design will only get you so far..

I wonder who will buy this device. might as well been announced last year with those specs.

                                      'Why not Dual-Core???'

Because when sony does something they mean quality, and trust me lower specs of sony are better than higher from Koreans.

I'm a sincere fan of Sony Ericsson & Android. But truthfully I feel that its worthless for SE to unveil 'xperia arc s' with just an upgrade in the processor. So its just the same xperia arc with slightly more powerful processor. Nothing remarkable here. It would have been better if the processor is a dual-core. But I believe dual core phones by SE will be officially released starting next year. Till than Samsung's Galaxy S2 will receive the greatest accolade for the being the most powerful Android phone
