AnonD-20215, 01 Sep 2011dude i don't get why s.e isn't smart enough to produce bett... more"all they really need is their own chip processor which is SUPER EASY."

Don't know bout the super easy part but yeah, they could have used the processor technology from PSP Vita. Though that probabbly won't do good with floats but graphics wise is gonna be a beast. Then again there's another thing about the battery life which the PSP VITA has the space for.

Speaking bout battery life, if the S has the same specs as the Arc but with a higher clocked processor, dosn't that make the already weak battery life lower? With my usage on my current Arc i can hardly last around 6~8 hours.. =(

AnonD-20215, 01 Sep 2011dude i don't get why s.e isn't smart enough to produce bett... moreI think you r the one should wake up. I'm not user of sony phone, but still i understood about sony business strategy. U can't simply put all your best component in one phone without thinking about compatibility, amount of research to be done and above all the cost. I'm sure they want to produce product like what u want, but if the price going to be far expensive, i don't it will sell well..so they went for balance and the needs of most SE user. I don't u need superfast processor but in the need it will not be utilize well. Looking at the spec of this new arc, they only need to add front camera to enable video call. Anyway, you have your opinion, and hope u find the phone that meet your demand, but make sure u urself have enough cash to buy something u demand...

dude i don't get why s.e isn't smart enough to produce better phones....
technically they have the best potential to compete with samsung
                  walkman for music
                  cyber shot for camera
                  bravia technology for screen,
all they really need is their own chip processor which is SUPER EASY.
sony ericsson totally wasting their potential in this smartphone battle. if htc can make phones with aluminium or metal like stuff, WHY CAN'T THEY? they're a lot richer than any other brand... the smartphone battle will end up with samsung winning, because they're using ALL THEIR POTENTIALS. Using their own chip, screen, etc... this is so stupid. SONY ERICSSON WAKE UP MAN!

Can an Arc user just bring their phone to SE Service Centres and ask to replace that chip? Instead of buying the Arc S? :))

Do you get video calls on 2.3.4 cause Ive had it for months now on my Galaxy S and there is no video calling and its official update through kies.

Fair play to SE for sticking with single core. Personally think Dual core is a bit of a hype, its fast yes but drains the battery so badly!!! I also think the next iphone will remain single core but giving a speed boost to the processor! The Arc S will probably be a stepping stone to dual core anyway until they find the correct technology to handle dual core properly! Hope this does well!

There should be 1G of Ram...SE. At least a Gb of Ram.
