Design-wise, the newly leaked images are inline with what TENAA had revealed.

Next up: Ericsson will announce they'll re-launch the Ericsson Ericofon. Bundled with a 200m extension cord to make it mobile. "Because we heard you'd like some old school shizzle".
This will fail miserably. I don't know who at Blackberry even came up with the idea that more than a handful will consider buying a physical keyboard phone in the Netflix era.

"But I really wish that they made the screen at least 16:9 compatible with full HD resulution"

As i always say : A 3:2 screen should be 1920*1280 to be compatible with a full hd 16:9 1920*1080

AnonD-152638, 30 Apr 2018Just as on the first set of renders, there is the "blanks" ... more16:9 and it would make this device looks like a tv remote, except if the keyboard is slide out type

Just as on the first set of renders, there is the "blanks" on the bottom row, probably meant for alternative keyboard layouts.
However, in many regions where there are additional letters in the alphabet, it will still be sold with the standard qwerty keyboard... so they should have put buttons there, that could be re-assigned for local letters, or for common used symbols.

The leak does not reveal if it uses capacitive buttons or on-sreen buttons. But it is possible that the buttons are back-lit and therefor not showing up on a device with its screen off.
But I really wish that they made the screen at least 16:9 compatible with full HD resulution for the 16:9 screen or part of the screen (or 9:16, since its mostly designed for portrait mode), so that videos can be enjoyed in full resolution, and for app compatibility.
(The screen could have a different aspect ratio, but it should have a 16:9 part, with full HD resolution, and the ability to run apps as 16:9 full HD apps, even if the screen would be slightly wider)

I would really love to see some kind of IP spec on it. At least IPx4. But preferably with dust protection as well, and hopefully a bit more than just splash resistance. The keyboard is probably the area that complicates this, compared to other types of devices out there.

The snapdragon 660, should be fine on a device like this.
The Keyone used a chipset that was quite old when the unit launched, the 660 is quite new, if they get it in to production soon.

The Keyone felt overpriced, true... However I don't think they can make a device with a keyboard that does not feel overpriced, when looking at the rest of the specs.
So I think that is something we have to accept. If they can't sell enough additional units by slightly lowering its price, it would cut in on the margins they probably need. So perhaps it has to be priced that high.
But it it comes with a more up to date chipset (newer when the device is released compared to the KeyOne), dual cameras, on-screen button and IP specification, at least it would be a better device compared to the KeyOne, so perhaps it will not feel quite as overpriced, even if the specs compared to other offerings might suggest that it is as overpriced as the KeyOne.

6GB RAM and a SD 660. We know it is keeping the headphone jack, so that is a plus. It would be nice IF it had stereo speakers and a power efficient LCD display. But I'm not complaining. It still has a headphone jack, SD 660 is a great processor as evidenced by the Nokia 7 Plus benchmarks...just price it correctly.

Ghostwolf, 30 Apr 2018If those specs hold: SD660, 6Gb RAM, Oreo from the start, t... moreNobody said that it's the final production unit, so..? I even thought that maybe it was just a china copy.

If those specs hold: SD660, 6Gb RAM, Oreo from the start, then this will be my next phone this fall IF they make a CDMA version for Verizon.

As far as everyone being critical of the looks:

This is a pre-production unit sent out to get certified. They are NOT going to send out a final production unit.

Think people. TCL knows images are going to get leaked. Why unveil your final device design before you are ready to?

Even if the keys look a bit off now, I think once it hits production, it will look more like it's predecessor, though maybe in a black version to start with other colors as options.

totally agree with most people here. If the price is right. Blackberry is a pretty good brand. I love their designs and stuff. They will never been like Apple or Samsung but they can do very well if they hit the right price and market.

This anyway is no longer Blackberry but TCL, these phones are sold world wide in 2017 (all these BB phones) under 1 milion, so yea.. Nostalgia only is key for keyone to someone buy :)

Same as everyone else... Love it, but please don't overprice it.

                              Please don't overprised this time.

Why does the keyboard look so cheap? It looks like a cheap plastic with cheap printed qwerty on it that could be easily scratched. Idk, maybe this is just a china copy.
