i dont understand these designer guys... they must be stupid and brave in a same time to put that notch! Xiaomi was my last hope for notchless phone.

Im not into the notch trend, but this one has no sense, its to large to even have a use, the corners will only have the time in the right, and signal in te left, that is if they would use super small letters tu put everything on them

After six years being a Xiaomi user,I can say that design of the new Mi7 is surely a message from Xiaomi for potential buyers to find something else..what's the difference between Oppo,Vivo,1+,Huawei..they all look exactly the same..awful..
Luckily,there's still that beautiful Mix2s..

I wasn't expecting every manufacter releasing a phone with a notch. For more screen real estate?
A friend of mine just got the Huawei P20 Pro and i don't disliek the notch but i don't find it usefull either.
I find the aspect of my Oneplus 5T much more sleek and elegant.
The Notch is simply not for me

"I've let you all anticipate for a long time, now I'm coming" Sounds great, hope it does bring great things with that said. And seriously if XIAOMI did the vertical dual camera setup like how they did for their mid-end smartphones, it will mean that they have lost their own design over something that is the "trend" of 2018
