If a budget phone can be treated that way, a flagship phone should be the same, heck even better.

Dilmeet, 02 May 2018S7 and S7 edge are 2 year old flagships so doubtful that Sa... moreApparently they were supposed to update the S6 series and Note 5 to Oreo as their last OS upgrade, but I doubt that.
As for Project Treble, it can be used for security updates.
You see, even the Galaxy Note 4 receives monthly security updates up to this day, so the newer S7/S7 Edge should be treated the same way, and Project Treble is only to improve it.

Downloaded the update OTA and phone now just shows flashing Samsung logo and a blue light. Phone seemingly unusable. Not impressed.
