Glad you made a point of Samsung UI (previously Touch Wiz UI) features as compared to plain jane Stock Android. Both are different and target base is too different. Some love to bloat their stock android with useful missing features from Google Play store (talk about security and dependence on 3rd party app developer) and some are okay with stuttery but feature rich complete package like Samsung's UI.

Also, include the OS version and security patch in your response. Just curious to know how does MIUI bug fixes are so better than stuttery but feature rich Samsung UI with latest security patches.
Agreed Xiaomi offers the best Hardware for the price but same is not true for MIUI.

Very disappointed with Samsung updates. They just launch the device and forget their customers who bought their old flagships. I am with Samsung from S2 till S7 Edge and still using S& Egde; but not any more. Innovation and updates stopped after S8; and now they just suck the money out of customers pockets with little tweaks here and there in new versions (only little camera changes, nothing else).
I recently bought Xiaomi and they are upgrading the firmware and updates are coming every 2 weeks. Very bad for Samsung loyal old customers like me.

OS upgrades stops at most 2 years, but security updates can go up to 3, sometimes even 4 years.

i'm not sure why everybody desperately wants an update.
I'm on nougat and I don't feel I miss something.
Besides, early build updates always have battery issues, wakelock, etc.
For me, battery and reliability is the most important.
I even feel that lollipop on S6 is still better than nougat, I just don't have a way to turn back.

LOL .. the title should have been .. Samsung S7 finally gets Oreo but as usual it has had all these features from 40000 years !!
When new android version is launched then the title should ... "Stock android finally receives samsung features that are 4 years old" .. hahahaha

Project Treble could be included in the package.
Huawei's Honor 7x got the Oreo update in the US variants with Project Treble in the package. And that is a mid range device.
I hope everyone else should bring the Project Treble to their devices that will be updated to Oreo
