The mobile industry followed the essential phone standards?
Really? Do you actually believe that?
And now comes the G7 doesn't have a small round gap, yet a horizontal one, just like iPhone X? A coincidence?
Ok then how about copying the dual camera vertical setting too?
    Another coincidence?
And the abstract pink/purple/blue wallpaper the G7 has, just like iPhone X was advertised a coincidence too?
    Yet another coincidence???
    Hmmm, i think not...

Like I've never heard a reviewer or consumer ever say..."I wish this phone was as thin as possible" or "this phone sure is hefty and too thick" and "I wish the battery had been made smaller, this phone lasts way too long"

Its like LG don't want us to buy their phone. How stupid can a company get? At least Apple have the plus model with decent battery life and more ram.

Lets wait until the actual reviews come out, but I bet battery life will not be great to put it mildly. This could be the most battery optimized phone out there but the counter-argument will still be it should have a bigger battery to make battery life even longer. Nobody complains about a smartphone having battery life which is too long.

Imperator Neubaticus, 03 May 2018Lol, as if you won't find those "good things" you mentioned... moreFirstly, have you noticed any of the backlash that came as a result of the OLED screen burn in with the Pixel 2 XL and the V30 last year? That could be a possible explanation for the LCD screen. I agree that the notch is horrendous, but as far as I can see, it is the only flaw that the phone really has. If you did any research on this phone before making a comment, you would also know that the phone uses an RGBW M+ LCD as the screen, which uses 30% less power compared to the G6 because it has extra white pixels to illuminate it instead of relying on a backlight. On top of that, the Snapdragon 845 is 30% more power efficient compared to the 821 on last years G6. I would also like to know a phone that offers the same high performance DAC and wide angle shooter like LG does, as well as the MIL Spec 810G certification among others.

Shanti Dope, 03 May 2018Apple has been lacking worthy innovations within the recent... moreI agree that the bootloop problem with the G4 was an issue, and I think a lot of that is based on the fact that LG does not have nearly enough market share to create a widespread customer service experience, at least in that time. Thankfully those issues have gone at this point. Unfortunately it seems that people still seem to get lost in Apple's sham, not to say that your sister is an idiot.

While Apple may have had quality control that was better in the past, I think many people fail to recognize the fact that they really don't try to make anything new. Other than the iPhone X, which has been a flop to some extent, they haven't really made any changes to their flagship phones in terms of design. We've had the 6, 6s, 7, and 8 with the same body, and an extremely expensive phone as the only hint to the fact that they are still "innovating", although complete screen designs have already been in the works.

OLED is good, as you've mentioned it's pros, but I don't like oversaturated colors a lot. That's why I'm sticking on LCDS.
