Hey LG
"The secondary camera can assist with depth information for more convincing portraits as well."
Can you please add this to G5/G6 and V30?
WTF LG with dual cameras can't do portraits??????

Underwhelming at its best. I predict LG mobile division will further go down the trash bin.

Why people hate LCDs? For me i think its good, no screen burn-in issues and much better for eyes than Amoled. I have seen samsung and oneplus screens and they literally hurt the eyes. All my phones had LCD so i think its better than Amoled.

I read somewhere that it may be around 630 euros, which would make it somewhat of a semi acceptable device. Mitch does not bother me. But I hope the cameras front and back are not the v30 models. The worst bit though is that battery. Shocking.

Looks perfectly good to me. I'm on the Huawei train too, but this phone is pretty good as well. People need to get over the notch. It's obviously here to stay, so get used to it.

AnonD-384012, 02 May 2018Not only do they try to copy the notch, but also the iPhone... moreAnd for a big brand it's a shame. It's acceptable for Chinese smartphones but for LG it's a shame for its brand.

Well since they revealed the notched LCD display i had no expectation for this device and yet I find myself bamboozeled again. How can I expect nothing and be disappointed. So to sum it up. It's the G6 but with notch. But wait it has bigger screen and higher res, then again only 3000mah battery so i can use it for the whole of 3 and a half hours. The cameras are the same old same old. It has DAC but then again i dont have 300$ headphones so it doesn't matter as i learned from the V30. So all in all LG has gone the way of Asus. A solid hardware but nothing to separate it from the avalanche of devices from the same class. So at this rate we're looking at the price to see if it's worth it. At 480€ it has a chance for decent sales. At 500+ it will just become another notch(pun intended) on LG's wall of shame. Sadly i believe they'll price it at ~800€ which I ThinQ will kill it faster than you can spell ThinQ. My biggest beef with it is that ot has no gimmic to separate it. The S9 has variable aperture, the P20 has 3 cameras, iphone X has the face ID, One Plus 6 is gonna be much cheaper, Motorola has the mods. All i can ThinQ of on LG side is the stupid name that s basically a meme of itself.

Taking into the account that they are now releasing the Oreo update for the G6 nine months after Google made it available... that promise of Android P will take probably 1 year or more to be received and by then I am sure that more than one will have already sold it. It's funny like in the previous ones how they avoid talk about the size of the sensor camera and the duration of the battery now that the display have more leds to supply.

JR 18, 02 May 2018Seriously it fix all the problems on the G6 like:
-32gb of... moreThen there are downgrades.
-Notch (pretty much everyone hates it, and while it can be hidden, the IPS LCD can't produce pure blacks like OLED and microLED can, making the notch still noticeable as blacks are still lit up)
-weird aspect ratio (gonna make apps less compatible with full screen)
-larger screen but smaller battery (from 5.7" with 3300mAh to 6.1" with 3000mAh? Even Samsung puts 3500mAh on the S9+)
-nothing truly remarkable feature (Samsung, Apple, Sony, Huawei, and HTC have stereo speakers, great audio jack quality, excellent screen quality, fantastic camera quality, and software & performance)
