I have Z4 tablet and it's all fine weather it's on potrait or landscape mode. Keyboard options is good: normal, one hand, or split (for landscape mode). The tablet is pretty thin n light so u can hold them with one hand for so long (u can hold it at the bottom center for landscape) or u can just put their standing cover for more convenience. Most contents format are design to be wide format like ur desktop monitor, and tablet with ratio 16:9 or 16:10 just to make sure u hv the same experience as on desktop. Unless u hv IMAX format, then wide format is mostly common out there.

Actually Tablets are the best way to go for handheld student projects. alot more than notebooks , because they last for days without the need to recharge and are veruy light to carry around.

and now the ARM CPU are becoming near i3 CPU speed . and this is very very useful in science and universities. and for engineers.

Or at least a semi decent game, that demads a high end SOC:

For such a large hand held device, it's silly to go back to 1.6:1, one side is too long when holding on hands. Apple knew why it should be 1.33:1. Some manufacturers and users of Android didn't know.

For me, tablet is best for displaying still content, very rare case using it for display videos. desktop monitor is a better device for displaying videos.

The tablet will probably be cheaper than any of the flagship smartphones. Also, SD835 is a perfectly capable flagship chipset. To add to that you forget that iPads cost a lot more.

Tablets are for productivity, and gaming. Which need a powerful chip, why do tablet makers keep putting old chipsets in their devices, At least apple added the A10X chip. I get the S3 having the 820, because the chip wasn't available and all that, but the 835 here is not ok.

Nice to seem them dumping the 4:3 thing. Now they just need to dump Android, get a Celeron-type processor in it and a less evil operating system with proper update support from its developer.

But this is what samsung was and (unless you have a discount) is still asking for the tab s3 (which already at the time had an "outdate" SoC), and is most likely what they are going to ask for the tab s4.

Samsung dunno why they are selling a tablet lol. Go target some specific consumers and cater to their needs, especially when most average consumers don't need a tablet now.

Samsung is lowering there tablet capabilities just because they don't want tablets to get to the phones level :P
Samsung do you want to beat Apple or what?
you can't change the standards Samsung Apple won't follow you
no matter how pathetic you look apple (or any other manufacturer) will never go easy on you >:(

Kinda sad seeing 835 instead of 845, I am not surprised, but it's still sad to see.
On the other hand, everything but SOC should be stellar if Samsung is planning to release a "high end" tablet ... so let's hope, the rest of the tablet is really good.
I am really looking forward to new Wacom pen, hopefully, ability to dock the tablet, 16:10 is IMHO best for a tablet (media consumption device) ...
Hopefully, the price will be ... reasonable.

I really don't mind slower SOC, not like I have any decent software on my iPad Pro, that can actually use that amount of power.
