Nubia Z17 was an excellent phone but poor software support and no global rom made it useless - Z18 if follows the same path would suck too. I'd love a Z17 right now with QC4.0+ support but with rom issues/patched "international" roms etc? nah

this time for sure , Nubia is having something unique in its mind . It says full screen 3.0 , meaningfully it may call the galaxy "infinity display" and apple "notch" be full screen 1 and 2 respectively, so having a new view towards display formation
looks interesting , waiting for further specs unveiling...

that hole in the top of the screen is
1_ notch (probably Essentials design)
2_ a selfe hole in the display
in case of number 2 the screen will probably have 19:9 maybe more and it will be a battery/GPU profurmence hungry specially on LCD (I never saw a nubia with OLED screen so....) and most importantly you can't ues the selfe section to display any thing
in other words you will end up with a hole in the display like iPhone X D:{
or a big battery hungry top black bezel XP

JNote, 07 May 2018I thought Qualcomm is banned from selling the to ZTE? Maybe it's because ZTE made Nubia a subsidary and used Nubia to buy it or they already bought a number of chipsets before they get banned.

JNote, 07 May 2018I thought Qualcomm is banned from selling the to ZTE? The title looks like a bait to discuss, Nubia is no more subsidiary of ZTE, so they can use the Qualcomm chipsets, although in any place is mentioned what SoC will use, probably it'll be the SD 845. We'll see.

Why does it get banned ? Who has right to ban a company ?
Everyone is equal before the law, right ?

JNote, 07 May 2018I thought Qualcomm is banned from selling the to ZTE? They are, as are all US companies for 7 years. They will probably use Mediatek or Samsung Exynos

Chinese phones have taken great strides in technology, creativity and quality. It is too bad that many of them, nubia included, only make Chinese versions targeted for the Chinese market. I realize going global is a major step that costs an arm and a leg, but I do wish they can make global ROMs available for online purchase to anyone around the world. nubia designs are very appealing.
