However, percentages are the ones that matter. So if 90% are not bothered, it's all good.
Besides, the notch is there to eliminate the clock and other notification icons from the main screen area and allow more content there. Not sure why people expect to use the scree on the sides of the notch for other stuff. The notch doesn't cut out from the main screen area. The screen actually extends around the notch to free up space taken by all kinds of icons and the clock. As simple as that. It's a logical design and it should have always been like this.

If the Nokia X6 is launching May 16, the OnePlus 6 is also launching at the same date too. However, what if the Nokia X6 is actually the OnePlus 6???? Then I'll think that the rumors of Nokia X6 is fake because actually, Nokia mobiles didn't even say it on Twitter that they are launching a phone on May 16!!!!

People aren't hate notch phone because It have notch but It lose the horizontal content space. iPhone X and Q3-Q4 2017 notch phone are mistake. Until they develop a way to hide the selfie camera behind the screen, then the notch will probably exist. The do the Samsung approach and have some bezels at the top or they could always do what Vivo did with the Vivo Apex where the camera can pop up and down on the top bezel but since it has mechanical parts, it could fail.
The earpiece can be done using the piezo-electric speaker like what Xiaomi does, though. So no need for actual earpiece.

Why didn't they take what is in the top notch and place it in the bottom chin ? That would eliminate the top notch and make a nice clean look. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix

Don’t understand the obsession with notch trend at all. Notch and chin do not look good together at all!!! So fugly!!!! Iphone x’s notch looks good only because there is no chin!!!
