The navigation methods is to support notch phones. Move to full bezeless design. And start the journey of removing those 3 ancient buttons.
Soon samsung might have no choice but to go notch also. But i hope its bezeless first.

Damn it, Google, why are you changing things just for the sake of it? There's nothing wrong with the navigation bar and why would you get rid of the recents button but keep the back button? And I hated the horizontal recent apps menu on the old EMUI, vertical is more practical. You're trying to compete with Apple by adopting their impractical designs.

IT'S-A-PHONE. IT'S-JUST-SOFTWARE
Phones, have become a tool, you use them, you put them down. There isn't anything "exciting" about each new iOS or android release. But, the software makers, phone makers have to "build excitment" in hopes of people continuing to pay the silly prices.

Still falls short. Android needs to handle notifications better. Blackberry had the ability to switch between notification modes via "Notification Profiles" so it would be easy to toggle between getting notification for a variety of things - phone calls, text messages, app notifications, silent, and vibrate amongst others. It's been around for a long time yet neither Android or iOS have made an effort to do something similar. It's also been able to silence notification by simply tapping on the power button - what's so damned hard about that to accomplish?

What's wrong with Google. Why would you use swipe gestures with navigation buttons. It really doesn't make any sense. The gestures are their so we can enjoy the full screen without anything blocking the view of using your screen. The way it looks now is stupid.

Prevent ringing may be the option to stop an alarm or call sounds quickly when you don't want to wake others up or disturb them.
