still no AV1 codec support, 710 & 730 got same gpu, modem & memory. less than 5% clock difference, only dedicatedNPU and lithography.
also, still no AV1 codec support (twice because it's important)

710 was going to be called 670. So it maybe on pair with 820.
The 730 must be almost as strong as 835.
I say cpu. The gpu of 8xx is way stronger.

So company's like Xiaomi are using SD625 for so long because they know the costumers of this brand want more and those days most of phones doesnt offer a good performance vs battery ratio and SD625 is expanded to all company's to make a decent balanced phone.
Since SD660 is recent, fresh now because company's will start using them only from the beggining of last month we expect to see better performance than SD625 but some say power savings will be less but i am not sure, i belive SD636 and SD660 is on pair with SD625 in power consuption so, lets have more phones out to see.
I belive someday SD7xx series will be the new SD8xx or SD9xx for people who dont wanna spend much because next year when SD710 came it will have the same or better performance of SD805/810 of some years ago.
The only thing i dont like is because Qualcomm could use TSMC to produce the chips and not Sammy, because everybody know Sammy will do something to keep this SoC's lower performers than the in-house Exynos. Qualcomm make a bad chose.

Because the price of chips mainly depend on mass manufacturing and qualcomm wont be intrested in manufacturing them parallel to the flagship chipsets

I am not sure that the SD710 & SD 730 chips will be adopted by many phone vendors next year. The similar mid-ranger SD660 had decent performance but it was spectacular market flop. We saw many phones which used SD835 & SD845 flagship chips and SD625 mid-low chips. But we didn't see many SD660 AP in mid-range phones. I suspect that phone market is so polarized strongly that there are not much market for mid range AP between flagship and budget phones.
And debut dates are too late. We will see phone with SD710 on first half of next year and end of next year for SD730. By the next year, old flagship chips like SD820 or SD835 will be better choice than newer mid-range SD710/730 chips. Three or four year old SD820 will have better performance and lower cost than SD710/730.
