Android is ok, but it has some drawbacks that are being more and more apparent as the system develops. Android is a Java variant running on top of a Linux variant. This is enormously resource demanding. The N9 with its single core processor can, from the looks of it, out performer a dual core android phone in multitasking… Android is ok for today, but will lose its footing in the coming years.

I hope more devices with meego will appear, since nokia will not stand behind it anymore and there won't be support from their side. The price of this phone is ridiculous.
But this is the real phone OS - no need to wait for applications - everything which runs on linux can be installed on this OS

I am an Android Free Man. I respect persons with Polite comments telling they prefer Nokia meeGo (that its Support is questionable. it might become 2nd WebOS) over Android. But to those unpolite ones I say what do you like so much about an arrogant, lazy company! Why don't they join forces with Android And make Android more popular over IOS?. Are they afraid of making Google’s Android more tutelage on Nokia’s expense?. Where were Nokia when Symbian was dominating the market?. They got LAZY. "No updates" when you buy a Nokia phone you are stuck with the same OS for eternity. I say: Nokia you had your chance, now it is time to give software bread to "GINGERBREAD" Baker.

what's this about grey market in România? It's an online store and it has a right price 4 this phone. Norway it's also close to this price. Can wait for this awesome phone.

Since there is no other model is using MeeGo, it is probably hard to get the apps and anything that compatible with it. I'm still expecting something from it though.

No meego is not dead its a rumor no official confirmation intel... Believe me meego still alive like symbian said is dead is not true... Symbian3,Symbian Anna,Symbian Belle and more symbian coming next year symbian C...
I'll wait for final review of gsmarena before i buy this n9...
I hope n9 no buggs and any bad issue.....
For now im current using my nokia n8 9months old... Waiting for Symbian belle update its a big bang for the whole symbian users.....

The big trouble is no major manufacturer is involved in producing and marketing devices based on that OS. Hence end-user ressources are quite a bit. The reason why Samsung might be interested is because they plan to abandon Android for something that can run Android apps. Though if i was on their place i would invest in popularizing Bada, cause it sinked some efforts in developpment already.
