And, bizarrely, it is one area that manufacturers could actually beat others on. Last year, Pixel was great cameras, Huawei great battery, Samsung great screens, LG great sound. So, if I knew I could not beat Samsung for screen, I can beat them on battery, easy. Same with pixel, can't compete with camera, can beat them on battery. Could match Huawei on battery, and beat them everywhere else.

Today, we can see entry or mid lelvel phone with 4000-5000 mah battery like zenfone max for example. If the manufacturer still keeping their flagship phone line with 3000mah, maybe people will jump to gaming phone since they offer highend SoC with bigger battery

... moreThat is because the big fad now is tablet-sized phones needing constant wireless charging because of ridiculous sized screens draining said 3000mah battery in less than a day.
Heaven forbid some manufacturers make a 3.5 or 4 inch screen phone with a useable physical keyboard, ala BlackBerry, which with that same battery could last 3 or 4 days with a properly tuned OS, instead of that battery pig Android. Windows Mobile, BB OS, or even KDE Plasma could smoke Android on a device like that.
Make an adult-oriented phone, and people will buy them. Keep making children's toys for "media consumption", and you just keep losing market share.

the lg g7 looks like a decent phone if not for that battery. probably will show a very short battery lifespan during battery test reviews...
And now they putting again a 3000 battery in there... i guess i wait for better phones to come

V30 rereleases with updated SoC and OS no one wants. But no S7 or Alpha or A5 2015 or Note 4 rereleases. I like it when companies do the exact opposite of what we want
