Asus zenfone 5z is 450-500e phone and that is flagship (845sd, 6/8gb ram....) and still 150e cheaper then oneplus 6 and 300/400e cheaper then big companies phones (Apple, Samsung, Huawei....)

Maybe I can get hands on p20pro soon, but from what I've seen its great for eyes, but not at pro level. Now with premium coming its no brainer. 8mp 4K screen vs 2mp fhd included.

Also, the Galaxy A8 2018 has lower score than Asus' because Asus has that AI tricks to improve photos, but in real life, it blows the natural details a lot.

The new dxo mobile is kinda, well, weirdWell I prefer not to be tested at all than to test it with full of bias and extreme nitpicking, criticisms even to the smallest details of the camera.
You see, once they test the phone, they will probably make the slow motion a standard, but instead of which one can do it with best resolution, they will judge them based on their lengths, then test the phone in 1080p to give it low marks.
Heck, they might even give deduction to how uneasy it is to take the video, and give high marks to Samsung instead.

Good news for Asus. It's a pity a cannot rate their design highly, too ... Could have been a perfect compact mid-ranger, but noooo! They had to make it so huuuge, even though it's the Deluxe models that were meant to always be the big ones. Will never buy it!

At the same time, I'd punch the reviewers' faces if they don't give credit to the high amount of resolved detail captured by the phone, given that only the P20 Pro can compete in this aspect, while others don't have the hardware with such high resolution.

Revonox, 17 May 2018Can we finally stop using DxO as a reliable source for revi... moreDxO is known by the community as a paid rater. DxO themselves didn't admit that so they're like telling the truth but yeah, I'll just follow what the hating sheeples say about them.
Asus is no player in Mobile (by that logic, Asus didn't pay them. DxO got the unit themselves and tries it out just for kicks) but DxOMark acknowledged how good their midrange is. Now I'm wondering how the Zenfone 5Z would be rated.
I hope they rate HMD Nokia's 7 plus and 8 Sirocco and will rate Nokia 9 with their unique camera system.

It wont be through the defocus app.
It will be digitally like P20.
Update will be delieved in july, phone comes in june.

Hopefully they will ack... moreDxo, tele, bokeh,... try to use phone in real life using your hands, it takes sharpest pics and got hw camera button, if you care about that, and compare it with the 12mp rest, you will understand that no such reviews will change your decision. Some care not, but for those who do sony is probably the only brand, you may wish for more but its hard going down with resolution be it camera or screen.
