    Also according to you google is a subsidiary of HTC and LG because they Manufacture Pixels.

    Because of your ignorance your trying to prove that Nokia is Chinese when none of the people involved in its management are Chinese nor the investment is Chinese.

        Origins: HMD is staffed by former Nokia people (and current Nokia employees on the board of directors) and has offices very close to Nokia HQ, the company was funded via its investors and profits from the acquired feature phone business from Microsoft.

        Structure: HMD has an exclusive license on the Nokia phone brand and designs the phones, however, Nokia must approve each released product.

        Manufacturing: Phones are manufactured at FIH mobile factories which are the old Nokia factories (now owned by Foxconn).

        So no, these Android Nokia phones are not purely made by Foxconn and HMD was not funded solely by the few ex-Nokia employees.

                      Yup, go for it. It is an attractive thick feel muscle phone with "excellent" value and it is a looker. The collaboration and close working association with Nokia is serving you well. The train has left the station and picking up speed. Excited to see what comes later this year.

                        nochia, 18 May 2018sorry.. real nokia is from europe. this one is from chinaNo. This Nokia is based in Finland (located on the same street as Nokia), owns many of former Nokia patents, and investor is Luxembourgh based fund headed by former Nokia vice-president. They only produce phones in Chine (the same way as it done by Apple, Samsung etc.). Because of producing phones in China nobody calls Apple Chinese company and iPhones - chinese phones. The same with Nokia. And that first market for their phones they consider China, doesn't mean that they are chinese company, too.

Foxconn is only manufacturer who produce devices by order of meny companies (Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, HMD etc.)

                                  They should have done this poll with the Nokia 7 - that would have been a sure fire hit. I'm less enthusiatic about the X6, given its screen size and battery ratio.

First and a very clear reason is that behind HMD, is actually Nokia. HMD being nothing else then a Nokia child company, launched to test the waters. What that means? Well if HMD goes down, will not affect the Mother. A great strategy that spreads throughout Europe and makes a lot of sense in Nokia/ HMD situation. All Nokia needed was? "Construction site" and they got the ones making devices for all other companies. Another good strategy. Keep the enemy as close as you can.. Second reason? First devices were released in China. Their is a reason.... they had time to see, where what market wants them, and gather money to invest. Where can you gather money if not in a country with over 1.3 billion people? Especially with a well done device they do not need to repair every 2 mounts. Next devices were even cheapper. Clearly pointing to one direction. "We might have money, but won't sacrifice them". The other two devices hit European market, and went well. They tested waters for more then a year, and probably they still do. Their production rate is low. Meaning, their costs are also low. Their market presence is not that large either. Very few market points have the Nokias fore sale. I see nothing exagerated and unable to be done by a small company like HMD, till today. All i see is a company that takes very small steps to grow, to small, i could say. Typical European mentality. So, let's stop with foxconn hidding behind Nokia name, shell we? Why? Cause first, it makes no sense. Why would anyone hide tthis? Just for people to have someting to coment about? Let's get mature.

                                      Angel Investors, Private Investors, Venture Capitalists, Raise Money from Banks.

                                      They also can raise an IPO If they want.

                                      Where Do you think companies like Softbank get their money from.

                                      Essential was valued at 1billion even before the company could sell a phone.

                                      They raised money.

                                      OEMS prefer ODMs to manufacture phones because they have the facilities and Plants and People for manufacturing.

                                      And its difficult to come up with everything when you starting up a new venture and are not sure how it'll perform.
