I think it's better to stick to iOS for a few more year until android releases their final version. what would the name be? Zagnut? Stupid psychos are releasing a new version of android after every 6 months. Give people some break instead of forcing them to buy new phone twice in a year to stay up to date.

The OSs have almost reached a point, where you cannot bring any new big innovation, which will overroll the whole OS market. There are Apps for almost everything and OSs like Android cannot do more than fix whats there, improve speed, maybe hardware acceleration everywhere, but not more. To bring totally new innovation to a phone, you need new Hardware, which could enable you new features, like GPS did and every phone had a navigation system or 3g and you had a good mobile internet experience. See Computer nowadays didnt bring anything new, just speed improvements like lesser Ram usage or lesser CPU usage, but from Win XP to Win7 nothing really BIG changed, some stuff got improved and some fixes where made and it made the OS look more to date, like any other mobile OS is doing right now. I believe everyone with a common sense can understand that, and Win XP is really old by now, but everyone expects thinägs, that cannot be done, not by Android, neither from iOS or Symbian or whatever. New improvements come due to new Hardware and not faster working hardware, i mean new hardware, which aint in any phone by now, like a Hologrammaker, which replace displays, make a 3D hologram, so you have all right in front of you like in Starwars and then you need totally new controls and so on.

May be Apple should do an Android. Make iOS free to every one...Then We'll Love APPLE for that.. or may be Apple flavored Ice cream Sandwich hmmm..Tasty??? Apple Keeps sueing everybody Now. HTC,Samsung,Motorola.. World's Gone crazy..So SAD =(

It doesnt matter which OS was there first. If it is all about firsts, than think about what tech you would have at your own home right now, FIRSTS ARE NOT EVERYTIME the best. And it is fact, that iOS5 is copying from Android, if you dont read the news, its not my fault. And Android actually didnt copy any really important thing from iOS, if you like it or not, totally different OSs. Android for example has focus on its homescreens and widgets, things iOS never heard of, just the menu to select apps and thats more of a copy of symbian, cuz iOS copied symbian there too, but didnt expect less from an iFanny ;)

this is one reason that keeps me away from android phones..also it lacks features that are available in simple phones let alone smart ones like video calling and group text(im not talking about 3rd party apps)

Be happy with your Android versions. If you get an update, that's an advantage. Unlike updates of Windows for PC, its free. Ironically some companies has to pay Apple for each Android phones they sell!!

Meego?B... morein fact IOS has the best app store...the quality of the apps are far better from those of the android market. and remember that most of the iphone apps are ported to android, and some of them dont work flawless like on the apple phones. i'm not a hater, but you must admit that android market is not the best from what google has to ofer. i think the best thing it is that the soft is vesry flexible and you can customize it the way you want.

only a few things u can not do with android.
-place icons in a different way than alphabetic order.
-set auto brightness the way you want.
-ad-hoc (some phones still dont get ad-hoc)
-permut icon on home screen (like bada 2.0)
-erase, or ad bar for sharing with other application (exemple share in gallery)
so why do you want a big update??? it s just minor things heres

renew your information,because symbian anna is updated to belle, witch FIRST TIME GOOD SYMBIAN. symbian needs lower resources that android,which nokias with 1GHZ cpu and 512 RAM and improved graphics runs very smoothlly and about ovi store, i searched and found FREE good programs(office,pdf,player,barcode scanner and many more useful apps) and HD games like assasins creed.
When I found,that android programs needs permissions like closing other apps,even if phone runs smoothlly, contacts info,phone imei info, use phone cam ANYTIME,man that is ridiculious! nokia never spyed on its users, so nokia belle(701 phone,best in their phone gama so far) is THE ONLY manufacture to replace my old sony ericsson w200 and samsung l700. yes, I searched more info about bada,IOS,blackberry,and nokia for me had a few minuses compared to others.

They don't need to prove themselves better than competition. They just need to provide excellent experience for the users and they will decide if it is good or not.
Making new UI is not necessarily providing people with proper/good update.
