With so many furniture manufacturers, coffee shops, restaurants, and cars incorporating wireless chargers into their products it was careless of them to omit it.
It's not about how fast it is or isn't, It's about convenience. Yes a dash charger can top it up in little time but you still need to carry that charger around with you to do so.

Love the Community, 21 May 2018Wireless charging? More like contact charging, am I right!?... moreIt would seem you don't understand English. Current wireless charging is wireless charging -there are not wires to connect. It is convenient to just rest your phone on surfaces that have it built in without fiddling with cables. As for your "true wireless charging" you can keep your extra radiation and understand that moving around with your phone while it charges is mobile /non directional/proximity independent charging, not just wireless.

Wireless charging is just a luxury option and I don't think I need that feature. For me battery life and capacity is far more important.

All this hate is senseless and useless. They are doing very well for the features they offer, at a price point they offer it at.
Sort of like Apple, in that respect. They too don't care for the people who whine.

Then I won't buy your phones thank you!
I'm buying flagship phones with practical features for more productive in life without the hassle of thinking what is missing.

Athull, 21 May 2018"We're not going to add a feature just for the sake of it"
... moreExactly my thoughts.
Also, funny how politicians and CEOs of companies talk the same, going past the points, making contradicting statements and blatantly lying.

AnonD-470007, 21 May 2018Why would an additional 200mah make a big difference when i... moreHow much do you want? 100% more? -_- 200 mAh is a lot. 3300 mAh + 200 mAh would give us 3500 mAh which is adequate. Ofcourse, something around 4k mAh would be great but let us forget about it because QHD ain't making its way to OnePlus anytime soon.

Anonymous, 21 May 2018That is not phone for 500$ any more......Then they have no right to call it "affordable". -_- Charge 70$ more but at least give people what they are asking for. They are more likely in the league of Samsung flagships if they can't give people all the bells and whistles at affordable price because that is what they have always been advertising since the beginning.
They will surely give wireless charging in OP6T anyway lol because over confidence never works in the smartphone realm, my friend. ;)

Wireless charging? More like contact charging, am I right!?
The real wireless charging is when a coil is making a form of electricity that doesn't electrocute us and short out other devices and once the phone is around a 5 - 20 meter radius of that coil, it'll charge without putting it on a pad. Now that's real wireless charging where we can move around and still use a phone while charging wirelessly.
Yeah, about that statement, they added a notch and a "positive" explanation just for the sake of it. I just hope the OnePlus 6T or 7 copies Vivo Apex and then Oppo will finally complete the Find 9.

"We're not going to add a feature just for the sake of it"
They have no right to say that after adding the notch despite having a chin at the bottom.

Should have had it, table stakes for a flagship. And as for dash charge, pointless when you don't have the adapter. But with wireless, anywhere works.
