First update for OnePlus 6 enables slow-mo videos, hides the notch

The 480fps at 720p and 240fps at 1080p video modes were announced but not available out of the box - this update fixes that.

      New update came for bug fixes and stability. Now oxygen os version is 5.1.5

        And they removed the option for Always On display.

            Edit. Frankly tho. people just hate imperfections. to many of them. a notch is considered an imperfection. for me. I'd RATHER avoid a notch as it's kinda annoying imo.

              an option to hide the notch that should been an option outside the box, and camera modes that the hardware was able to pull but didn't because of software limitations.

              Way to buy an unfinished phone people! Next update will be the ability to make phone calls?

IMO hidable notch should come as a standatd not an option. Standard notch looks gaudy. Hideable notch looks just fine (you get notifications and whatnot in the horns).

When it can do 960fps for 0.2 se... moreshanti dope,.......! i agree u but i m not talking about what they can do i m talking about what they do.even though they can achieve more than 0.2 seconds they didnt do it, but onplus 6 did by reducing the fps and for me that 60 second 480fps is more use full than 6 seconds 960 fps if u speak theoretically even iphone can do 720p @480fps.

                      Which mobiles have portrait lighting mode option other than Huawei and iPhone 8 & iPhone X?

                      It's really shame that Note 8, S 9+, One Plus 6 all do not have this option

                        MiszterSoul, 22 May 2018480 fps at 720p, why not 960? :\Because the Snapdragon 845 supports 480fps recording at 720p (the Snapdragon 835 only supports 240fps at 720p). Where 960fps can only be done with a seperate DRAM this year. Which is included in the XZ2 and S9. Could be that next chipset supports higher fps, but that will be something for next year.

                          When it can do 960fps for 0.2 seconds, obviously they can also do half as much fps for longer periods of time.
                          OnePlus never said about having DRAM on their camera sensors, so this could mean that both the S9 and XZ2 can do it at even longer times.
                          But the chipset could also be a limiting factor, since 960fps is way too much for our current generation chipsets to handle for long.
                          Using something like Open Camera and picking the precise video recording setting will allow to do it.

(although as developer it's IS annoying me. as I need to rememebr over 1850 different notches designs now -_-) but that's the cost of the freedom of opinionation. I have a notched phone. the iPhone X. If I want to see the cutout. I use an awesome background. don't want it? I just add a black bar. making it a smart bezel. easy.

Don't want? hide it. much alike the Mute button. want to hear sounds? keep it off, want your peace and quiet zone. toggle it on.

                                      They're giving you guys the option to disable the notch if you don't want it. If you like it then obviously you can keep using it as is. Stop complaining about everything & get a life, ok?
