I've got a Lenovo P2, it cost £230 and it's excellent. The thought of spending 5 times as much on a phone with no headphone jack, no fingerprint reader and half the battery life does not appeal to me at all.

Environmental impact
You are killing our planet with mindless consumerism. Buying a new smartphone every two years is unnecessary, they last much longer than that.

But ... moreI can feel you man ,mine was stolen right out of my pocket as the person who has stolen it thought it was some expensive phone due to me using it without single scratch ,even since I started to being careful and never gonna buy a flagship coz the chances of it being stolen is pretty high ,Even the tracking thing on the phone is useless ,the phone needs internet to be located ,so the person won't switch on the data or connect it to wifi ,will just keep it switch off until he solds it some phone sellers who will by then reflashes the phone

I'll like iphones . They will produce complete quality products. Either display or hardware or processor or camera. They'll make the best.
A example.
Samsung is producing amoled for years but what happened.
iPhone x display is brighter , colour accurate, wide colour etc . Just a better and complete, best processing by them, hands off

I can't justify a flagship ,even if I get it free ,I have to be extra careful as phone can be easily stolen in blink of an eye in my place if you are on crowded street coz it catches lot of unwanted attention ,even my 200 dollars phone was stolen right out of my pocket ,so for me a flagship is out of question ,I am quite content with budget phones as my daily phone they seem to satisfy my needs and much less chance of being stolen

Dont mind change flagship every year if a lot of innovation, motorola X with ide mix CPU and GPU allocated to output latter on was apply on SD820, moto mod is greatest innovation

Looks like having an old device is disastrous.
Not every people are so rich that they could change their phone like underwear. But, depends on what you need, there's also nothing wrong for you to change your phone every year.

When you did factory reset and Samsung bypass All will be gone ..
So I am afraid to buy a flag ship .

The best solution ist a flagship device every half year. You sold half year old phone, buy new best phone. Proven for years now. :)
