Anonymous, 27 May 2018Camera sensor became bigger with iPhone 7, SoC is developed... moreNo. I'm not talking about the resolution. I'm talking about the size. Well, since Apple never clearly reveal what kind of the sensor is, it's kinda curious.

Actually, iPhone 7 plus has smaller sensor than it's predecessor
https://9to5mac.com/2016/09/12/iphone-7-plus-sensor-size/
While iPhone 7 has a 1/3" sensor (you could calculate the diagonal length)
http://image-sensors-world.blogspot.co.id/2016/09/chipworks-iphone-7-image-sensors-made.html?m=1
iPhone 8 itself has 1/3" + 1/3.6" camera despite its 83% bigger sensor claims

    For me its flagship.. why?
Because flagship using the best that OEM can offer at that moment, while midranger not...
And you can still buy s7 from now, even its 2 years behind. Still solid phone and runs fast...
So for me, flagship is the way (if you can afford it)..

And the best thing that flagship can offer (very noticable) is screen quality. You can feel the difference..

AnonD-763241, 27 May 20184k 60 fps and 960 fps and p3 displayI find Super slow motion gimmicky and fairly useless except to show off. And 4K@60 is doable on the Exynos model (which I have)

And all sAMOLED panels on flagships with Basic Mode have excellent, near to perfect color reproduction. They all jave high color gamut

gauron, 27 May 2018How about buying a midrange phone every 2-3 years and spend... moreyeah buy dslr for taking pictures, camcoder for taking video, ipod for music and video player, nintendo switch or psvita for real handheld gaming, feature phone for call and message, tablet pc for browsing and office. and dont forget buy acc like tempered glass for screen protection each device, cases for drop protection of each device, many extra cable + charging brick for each device, and dont forget something like bag to store all device you bring when you go out for vacation, classes, or go out with friend.

NOPE, i rather buy one or two device that can do all that without bring extra device that i have make sure extra carefull with it. not mention bring them all at once for many use which is stupid and heavy.

Thats why buy iphone 6s for call, message, browsing, streaming, playing music and video, social media, bussiness, online shop, taking photo and camera, mobile games (casual and hd).
And my other device is oneplus 5 for emulator gaming (gba, psone and psp games), for tethering hotspot, taking note/typing document and make presentation for class project, and as second device if my main phone is still charging (browsing, streaming, and play music/video). for extra acc i bring 2 cable (ligtning and type-c), power brick that have 2 usb port, 20000mah powerbank that support fast charging, wireless gamepad and stand. all of that device inside my sling bag which is still have room for paper, pen and wallet.

Just buy a year old flagships. You can get a great deal on it and it's not like it's going to last you less time than if you bought it on day-1 of sale. Plus they have better specs than brand new midrange phones. Happy S7 user (except for Oreo still waiting, in one week...)
Plus buying phones every year is damaging the environment in a stupid and avoidable way. My bare minimum is 2 years of usage, but I have been using my phones for 3 years (including a midrange one in 2015, but that was a gem unmatched today). Usually it's the battery that quits so I'm naturally forced to upgrade

Affordable new device every other other other other year year. at least 4 years .
because i am not doing any rocket science on mobile device, and also i didn't see any major technology advancements fro past few years to buy new device ,except few gimmicks
by the way are you conducting any survey for any company ?

It 2 times amount of cheaper specs vs. one higher specced. Or 2 times better specs(also real performance) with year old flagship than with new mid-range, but its not applicable to all(how would prices drop and companies earn otherwise).
But now we got about 3 lines of flagships, cheap for 500, pricier, and then 999+ priced.
I would more likely try to choose between what brand and what kind of money for flagship.
That is if there isn't brand I will choose out of preference, and like Apple, got just flagship.

I would like to take affordable phone coz I still think there's lot of space for ultimate phone, it will take lot more time for this kinda device. So it will be wastage of money to spend it on phone.

No? Same applies to displays, and camera Megapixel, and sensor size also isn't the only factor to consider. You act like a troll, maybe because you certainly are one.

A flagship every 2 years, of course. Believe me, the experience will be different.
