Too small upgrade in general, imho. And the 8GB/512GB model, if it ships, will be China/Korea only, that is guaranteed.
I will wait for Note 10 next year with SD855 on new 7nm process and improved features.

They'll tell you even of you put in an Intel Core i9 processor in their phones it will still lag. So let's just contemplate their laughable ignorance and enjoy it.

1. Un-install that fascist promoting, spying Facebook app.
If your phone still lags, you obviously have other malware, rootkits or spyware made by other criminals than Mark Zuckerberg. I also suggest to disable and remove other "social" media apps and as much of Google's cr#p-ware as you're able to.
I have a nearly two year old Galaxy S7. Haven't done a factory reset since last year and I have zero lag despite always using animated wallpapers from the likes of Maxelus.

Look, this phone is not just for business men/women, everyone can buy it. S pen is not just for drawing pictures and taking notes, but also for faster usability for some Note fans out there.
Just tell me you don't have a Note device before.

mauw, 28 May 2018samsung fan say this every year. but still samsung will nev... moreHad a Note8 since launch, and it's the first without lag. It's actually my most reliable and most versatile gadget. The high memory Note9 will probably be part of Samsung's strategy to get the DEX dock system off the ground, although I sense someone else is going to pull off the modular gadget properly, and it won't be Samsung or Apple.

So it will be another curved edge junk. A phone with notch is bad, but a phone with curved screen edge is much worse.

My daily driver and main device is a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 128GB + 128GB microSD.
I am (was) thinking of getting an S9 256GB (while retaining my memory card).
Just with my current set-up, it's already more than enough for basic uses and functions. And don't forget, there's a lot of cloud storage solutions.
Reading through earlier comments, I see rants about lag. Here's how to minimize it...
Settings > Developer Options > Drawing >
Switch off the ff.:
1. Window animation scale
2. Transition animation scale
3. Animator duration scale
If you don't have Developer Options in your Settings, Google how to activate it.

Anonymous, 28 May 2018so you agree little lag .. not little annoying - 1000$ phon... moreI find no enjoyment in toying with those of little intellect but sometimes i get a pang of pity so i succumb to giving you lot at least an ounce of attention. Heaven knows you have egos so bruised and insecurities aplenty you have the pathological need to stay relevant even though nobody really notices you are breathing the same air we do. So indulge me and my efforts to destroy your silly argument, if you can call it that, and please resist the urge to put a bullet through your head after realizing you really are just a piece of moronic meat taking up precious Earth space (or not, either way works for society).
First of all, the lags are insignificant. They're more stutters, and samsung has done a pretty good job minimizing them in the last couple of years. So no, they don't happen when you're playing games, they don't happen when opening every notification, they don't happen as you wait for every app to start up. They happen virtually negligibly to the point that you rarely notice them.
And what can the note8 do other phones can't in terms of productivity you ask? Oh where to start? Taking down notes on the fly when you're in a situation without a pen and paper? Going about doctors' or nurses' rounds with a portable notebook for much more efficient assessment? Sketching maps or directions to places people need to go? Making artwork and drafts when your job requires you to and you're nowhere near your tablet or pc? Signing documents and receipts and certificates digitally so your employees will get their salaries more promptly? And a whole list of things to do that useful members of society use a pen and paper for? And that's just the tip of the s-pen iceberg. That's what productivity is to us real note users who know what we buy our smartphones for. Obviously that's something your rotted brain can never comprehend. After all, you're still living off your poor parents and hiding behind an anonymous facade because you can't bear to put a profile on that embarrassment of a life you're living. So do yourself a favor, get off the internet as we have too many trolls you aren't even included in the list of degenerates to spare more than a minute on, get a real job, get a place of your own, and get a life because we won't be doing your responsibilities for you. But all those are contingent on you getting a proper education first so i suggest going to school like a good little kid.

128gb is going to be plenty enough over 99% of users. If its made wider than the Note 8 to about 80mm, battery atleast 4000mAh & 6.5" display it would be a nice device!
