Xiaomi shows progress with every new device that they make. Nice to see it. And thumbs up for keeping the price low, despite the companies like Apple, Samsung etc.

I guess completely removing noise while trying to preserve detail(so you don't have to do the work yourself) is a new trend. Thank you samsung/huawei. Simple capture&share on phones just got on another level.

Let me remind you that the exposure is determined by the aperture, exposure time, the ISO, and the metering mode. So, according to you, how should an f/1.7 photo be exposed?
Also, let me remind you that the difference between f/2 and f/1.8 is 1/3 of a stop, between f/2 and f/1.7 1/2 of a stop. In practice, there is no difference.

It only effects the depth of field, which in 1.7-2 should be very shallow (better bokeh).
As for the photos themselves, there's no way those are straight out-of-camera, some editing was applied due to the fact that it is marketing, there is no truth in marketing.

No point in companies releasing camera samples... even the cheapest entry level phone canera samples are shown to have dslr like quality !!!

                        No point in companies releasing

So I guess it's mandatory for Chinese OEMs to kill the thrill by leaking most of their products before the announcement.

                            Good. Very good.
