Samsung Gear S3 update lets you answer calls by rotating bezel

This update did not change anything in picking up phone calls. It worked by turning bezel since I bought the watch in January 2017. It has ruined my gear S3 watch battery instead. Or switched on something that I cant figure what it is. It used to last about 4 days. Now since this update it does not last one whole day. "Factory" reset did not change that. If you can, avoid this useless update and save you some trouble.

The new update stuffed up the battery life on my s3 frontier!? Now doesn't last even a day? Samsung changed the battery for me, but it did not make any difference. Had the same problem with earlier update?

Guess this was region locked earlier. Europe version had it since launch. At leas mine :)

Using "Gear S3 Frontier" everyday for a year now. Awesome design, amazing battery life (I get little more than 2 days per charge) + being able to use Samsung Pay ANYWHERE (MST + NFC) with the watch is super convenient. Many many times I went out at night (after 12 AM) to grab little something from local grocery store/Duane reade/CVS, I did not bother taking my wallet, just paid with my watch. You don't even need to be connected with the phone. I don't keep my watch connected with, cause for notifications, I always check my phone anyways. I use the watch as a WATCH, to check time/calendar/steps and also use it as wallet. Even after a year, I can not stretch it enough that how convenient Samsung Pay is!!! Its awesome. And Gear S3 being the only watch with MST, makes it a even better deal!

Anyone notice the Samsung Health app lost the calories burning balancing widget? Now it only shows ether calories intake or calories burnt. It's not the same widget we see for the phone app version anymore.

I don't get this... I never answered a call any other way than by rotating the bezel, and I have an S3 since January 2017.

I had a Gear S3 (excellent watch) and you could do this on it, and this was a few months ago.

I bought my watch in March and it has had this feature the whole time. (Turn dial to answer or reject calls)
