Only one time did Samsung update to a newer version of the same Android: from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

wow samsung a mid ranger may get oreo 8.1 hmmm not fair to me what about us that spent more money on a flagship we should habe been updated to 8.1 oreo and mid range to 8.0 oreo keep up the good job u have a good future ahead of u :l

Unbelievable i thought they put 7.1 maybe in case of the updates Samsung is slowest of the slow. Crawling old elderly turtle on retirement.
Like Elephant Turtle Joe last of his kind which died few years ago.
