8EE will be the favorite phone due to its unique finger print scanner and somewhat special back, but the real volume where people actually buy will be 8se and 8. This time dxo mark is available for mi8 so i expect mi8 will be best seller (8se camera will not be as good as mi8)

To each his own, and by that, the Mi 8 SE is my thing.
And it would have been perfect... But... Why the squarish profile???
Why cant't it look more like the Mi 8. I feel itbis 2008 all over again.
So sad, because it is otherwise perfect for me.

all of them are so perfect ...
as a OnePlus fan , I have to admit that Mi 8 is worthy than OP6 with this price tag.
Mi 8 SE is the outstanding midrange , defeats OPPO R15 pro so far ( with lower price )
OnePlus doesn't make sense since OP5 , they should settle for issues ( being oppo copycat ).
xiaomi phones always have better battery life .
even phones like iPhone X don't have special points against Mi 8 except double price ...
even Mi 8 has better connectivity, camera , battery , more advanced CPU etc .
although MIUI (xiaomi user experience) has changed (improved) much more than before , still you can flash your own rom using Project Treble easily..

You can whine about those no jack, no SD Card Slot, a huge notch and chin, etc., but let me ask one thing; can you get any better overall device than any of these phones in their respective price points??
You've got to remember that even some phones within these phones' price ranges of their own also have flaws, that are often even worse.
OnePlus 6 also has a notch, but costs even more.
The Galaxy A8+ 2018 has all of those essential features, but has a performance level way below the Mi 8 SE, yet somehow still more expensive.
There goes the Galaxy Note 8, which has inferior performance and again, still more expensive!

The primary camera is good. The internals are good. Everything else ranges from meh to awful.
Notch? Meh.
No minijack? Meh.
No micro SD? Meh.
Scanner on the back? Meh.
On-screen buttons? Meh.
Glass back? Sucks.
MIUI? Sucks outside of China.
Size? Uncomfortable.
Not waterproof? Atrocious.
Design? I've seen that somewhere...
There may be other flaws I've forgotten to mention, but surely no more advantages.

Out of the trio, I like the Xiaomi Mi8 Explorer most. However...
...the Mi 8 SE is definitely the better device when considering the specs and price!
Still I hate the; lack of aux port, lack of microSD slot, no front speakers, rear fingerprint scanner, rear-glass, camera hump, pointless dualcam, weird aspect ratio, bottom chin, and the notch.
