The base model has plenty going for it, the Explorer is beautiful, the Mi 8 SE offers plenty of bang for the buck.

The new Mi's are a lot like the iPhone X. Although, don't think that the Mi 8 Explorer back is a see-through one. It's just a sticker to fool you. Look at ifixit videos and you can see phones have a totally different composition inside.

    Mi 8 SE does't has dedicated face recognition sensor but still houses same size notch. Dissapointing.

      The glass back is fake apaprently. It's actually just a sticker because it was proved that the components didn't have realistic placement and the modules aren't even connecting to one another.

          The 8 SE looks better, it is rectangular and not iphone shaped.

But not adding expandable st... moreWell , as i already do my research on this website about Mi Flagship phones (excluding Mi Note , Mi Max , Mi Mix , Mi 5X/6X and Mi Pad) , the last Mi Flagship to have MicroSD expansion was the Xiaomi Mi 4S that was released 2 years ago (March 2016) . After that , no Mi Flagship has then included a MicroSD expansion with exception of Mi A1/5X .

              i liked the explorer edition ............. it has a notch with a purpose and the translucent back with the view of snapdragon chip-set and other component inside, design wise knw a days every smart-phone looks similar all over if we consider the price this are the best we can get at that price-point,good work xiaomi.

                it's almost impossible to think that same company who introduced mi mix series to the world will release these devices as their flagship. Everything except the design is great and will sell a lot. But design is the best copycat one can find in the flagship market. Poor man's iphone... I'm poor and i will never buy mis 8 series

                  Yes, they're beautiful Xiaomi. But not adding expandable storage is just, meh. Having this feature is as important especially I use my phone everyday for my research, projects, and memories that I'll never ever stop using it (unless if it is full, well I'll store the other files to my PC!).

                      None of them because none of them have micro SD card support or a headphone jack and all of them have notches. That's a hat trick of crap

                          I like the Mi 8 SE because of the specs but i really hate it's design including it's 'SE' branding...
