I rather buy a $1,000 vivo NEX than an iphone X. At least you could see a real development in technology. No half-assed notch or a crappy and inefficient biometric like the face ID. And I don't have to worry about it throttling down because of "battery" issues.

$1000 is like buying 2 flagship phones back in 2013. Now it's 2018, flagships are below that mark and 5 years later phones will cost over $2000.

It does sound like they're overestimating their global brand name with a price tag that matches the more feature-rich, higher resolution'ed Galaxy Note phones.

Anonymous, 02 Jun 20181000 for a Vivo????? WTF? They must realize that it is not ... moreI have to agree here. You can't just throw out an (innovative) smartphone at that pricerange, and expect global scale success. I would consider buying it if lineage os will support it, otherwise I can't trust their support from the first time i hear of them. This could be a product thrown out too early, from a brand that's not well enough known and the market might not be ready. We are still retardedly dazzled by the notch...

Sadly, I can see this phone fail, although looks like something at least 2 years ahead of its time.

What the.... That's a flop even before release!
Like said, vivo itself can't afford pricing the phone so high.
The brand needs building and everyone knows that their previous phones are waaay too overpriced anyway.

Dumb move but luckily it isn't the world's only company!

1000 dollars for a chinese phone, more than Samsung best...how about building brand awarness first, good built quality and regular upgrades ?

If that still doesnt justify the $1000 price I dont know what else to say. There are phone above $1K that offer merely 64GB storage and 4GB RAM and brings nothing new to the table. Hard to complain here.

Too expensive, especially for the Snapdragon 710 version

Does anyone have idea how big this phone? I mean the dimension...
This one looks interesting, i have seen it before at GSMA hands on and its amazing...

Vivo is no underdog but I was surprised by their certain "flagship like smartphones", even if they are actually "upper midrange" in the first place.

1000 for a Vivo????? WTF? They must realize that it is not only technology that matters at that price range. No matter how technologically advanced it is, at that price range they have to offer build quality, good brand name hence reliability, and most importantly Apple-standard support. Perhaps in China they have all that, but for the rest of the world it is doubtfull (Android fan here, but admitting some facts).

                                NEX, NEX A, & NEX S.
So far, the Apex is the most awaited phone until now.
