while this device is under development, i sincerely hope that samsung take into account the apple lawsuits. i would love to see apples ongoing courtroom dramas flounder and drown.

quad core for phone is impossible (even for laptops it's still very rare), and simply USELESS.. what will u do with that small < 5 inch display, and small battery life?

A 2.0 Ghz Quad-core processor exceeds what a low to mid range computer would have. Heck now that I think of it's a faster process than what you would find in a Macbook for the most part. As impressive as that is though, I just do not see the need for something like that. Yeah it's powerful and thin, but it's also going to be power hungry and when the battery dies after 3 hours it won't even make a good paper weight because it'll be to light. Quad-Core processor have more of a home in Tablet (as pointless as those are) as opposed to phones. I love the figures though, but I think the GalaxyS 2 is plenty for me.

AnonD-16212, 18 Sep 2011Hmm....the current galaxy sII cannot stand more than 4 hrs ... moreNot even a laptop on battery can last much longer than 4 hours of really heavy use, and no phone, not even N9, can last much longer on really heavy use!
Dualcores and quadores are actually more batteryefficient than singlecores!
Those of you that are complaining about S2 batterylife should read the test gsmarena did of the S2 batterylife http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-i9100-galaxy-s-ii-thorough-battery-test-results-are-out-even-better-than-the-galaxy-s/

So can anyone tell me why none of the powerful Android phones have physical keyboards?

This sound real tempting about the phone but it might be true as to compete with Iphone Samsung is trying its best and working hard on developing some real High-End Devices.Nvidia also showcased its new Tegra 3 (Kal-El) series check out:
                              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Tegra#Tegra_3_.28Kal-El.29_series

                              It features:
                              1. 1.5Ghz Quad-Core Processor. Now seeing it we can conclude that Samsung might be overclocking it or not.
But I personally think that other mobile manufacturers are also working on it.

2.It will be realeased on Q1 2012 for smartphones.

Now, about 1.5GB ram its not a big deal cause RAMs are not so costly and are easy to implement.

For 4.65-inch Super AMOLED III display developed specially for this phone with an odd 1280 x 1024 resolution,I think Tegra 3 will handle it very easily.

Battery life might be dissaponting, as device uses a Quad-Core processor, I think they need to increase battery capacity from 2,250mAh to 3,000mAh.

Samsung should also tweak its TouchWiz,because it does'nt feel like eye-candy.

Overall, If this news is true then we will be seeing a real "tablet killer" device.
