Plus if you bought a 5G ready phone today or last year, that would be already too old as newer phones come out annualy and carriers will deploy 5G by the year 2020+

As far as I know Philippines is one of the Country that provides slow internet basing on the "Survey" compared to the 3rd World Countries, if phones are capable of providing Enhanced 5G Data speed of service but the Carrier cant offer a better service of internet speed it will be useless. But we're still waiting for a new Chinese Telco Provider to enter hoping this upcoming 2019 as what the President has said.

I will admit, that's some ridiculously impressive internet speed, like holy hell. But I was talking about cellular data connections, which is something that we can access from anywhere without the need of fiber optics. In that regard, we have come pretty far.

shappy, 08 Jun 2018So We should purchase 5G smartphone next year. I will wait. But its usage will depend on whether your carrier support it or not. Most carrier will take a few years to completely polish their 5G network. At early stage 5G range will probably be very low.

SakshamGupta30, 08 Jun 2018One gb/s lmao , that's like downloading Gta V in just over ... moreFastest internet speed in the world: October 2014 World guiness records.
In October of 2014, researchers at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands and the University of Central Florida used multi-modal fiber lines to reach speeds of 255 terabits per second, or about 32 terabytes per second. They similarly used a seven core hexagonal arrangement and were able to keep the size of the cable to just 200 microns, or about .008 inches thick. This wasn’t just a lab test either—the connection was measured on a one-kilometer stretch of fiber.
This feat would make it possible to transfer a 1GB movie in .03 milliseconds, or one terabyte of data in just .03 seconds.
If that doesn’t already sound impressive, 255 terabits per second is roughly the total sum of all traffic flowing across the internet at peak times. Researchers described the new type of optical fiber as “allowing 21 times more bandwidth than currently available in communication networks.”
Multi-core optical fiber could potentially replace the single-mode variants we use today, but it would require replacing millions of miles of fiber, so don’t expect to download all of Wikipedia in milliseconds anytime soon.

I'm glad Mediatek is pushing forward with their chips. I hope they discontinue the lowest offerings up to 6750T so they can focus with the latest chips that seem to be competitive to Qualcomm.
With Project Treble, even Mediatek (who is always doomed to program new updates) will be guaranteed for major system updates for 2 years tops.
Screw the super low ranges where this is an era where everyone should get a higher end phone despite everything!
