bigger battery 100%. i dont get it why nobody dares to make the jump for a flagship with 5000mah. specially some of the dying brands. it would be a huge plus

The minute I saw the debate Even before reading what either "Ro" or "Victor" had to stay, I voted for more battery.

All Lenovo P2 users please speak up, LOL.
Otherwise, let people do visit its comment thread and read all the testimonies there.

Anyway, one other phone that got my attention was Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. Power efficient SD625, 4100 mAh battery, rather compact 5 inch screen (16:9), FHD resolution. Xiaomi never makes a worthy successor, what with following the trend of elongated screen and 25% cut in battery size. That's a shame...

For the poll itself, why must it be either big battery or fast charging?? Why can't we vote for both??
Big battery and fast charging should complement each other, IMO.

It's really about balance. I don't need a 10000mAh battery if the phone is an 4 inch thick and weighs 5 pounds.. At the same time I don't need a phone that's 2mm thick and dies in the blink of an eye.

Well in past we had a slim phones with 3000 mah batteries i mean 5 inches.
In present era the phones are slim like before but instead of 5 inch they got 6 inches or more but the battery is same 3000 mAh where is the problem???
And by the way rather carry brick along the town than a mobile phone with powerbank.

            MG7, 10 Jun 2018Lenovo P2 had 5000mah battery and was just 8.3mm thick.5100mah***

If "last a day" claims were actually true it would be good enough, but they are not true at all. You have to: a) limit your SOT. b) limit time playing games, using maps or taking photos. c) remove background battery drains like Facebook etc. Plus batteries degrade over time and will not "last a day" 2 years from now.

                  C. "Bigger battery or slimmer phone..!?"
                  .
                  B. "More innovation in batteries..!?"
                  .
                  A. "Neo batteries with neo technology..!?"
                  .
Overall, situation it is: batteries will have need to change! I mean GREAT CHANGE in material and something else..

You need to keep the demand open even after your last customer bought your top of the line product.
Apple really got the hang of it now.
-Hey, we will no longer repair your shit..but you're welcome to buy another one with no discount ;D

What difference does it make if the manufacturers are
making bigger phone's and smaller batteries?

I think we're actually at the point where we need laws to stop the manufacturers' insanity. They need to be forced to make the devices more repairable again. Also there was no need for removable batteries to go away.
Give me a thicker plastic phone with a 5000 mAh battery that I can actually hold on my hands. I have never asked for these dumb slim and slippery metal and glass designs. They make absolutely 0 sense functionality wise.

suarez92, 10 Jun 2018I am for bigger battery. Reason I use Mate 10 Pro is batter... moreMy Y7 Prime 2017 can last up to 9hrs 45mins SOT with normal usage. It has 4000 mah and I'm already impressed with my phone since I don't have to charge everyday because sometimes it can last for almost 3 to 4 days. :)
