Notch.. like rest of Apple's innovation will be remembered forever.
We have come a long way on unlocking phones.. From pressing a button.. to pass code.. to smart cover.. to touch ID.. to face ID. Each easier and more secure then the next.
Sure we can criticize the notch's ugliness or the fat bezels with that round button.. But you got to see that as an 'icon' of a fruity phone.
All android clones with this notch design.. if they do not provide a real 3D unlock.. then they do not get the gist of this design.

I think even apple are beginning to acknowledge that they have to drop prices as the level of competition and price gap between them and apple is too big. Sales of the x haven't been great.

Ohh, the notch again. When is Apple gonna realize that notch is the most hideous thing in the world? Good for me anyway because I will stick with my notch free SE for a couple more years!

By contrast using the bottom bezel for the sensors is a permanent disability and I don't even want to talk about using a top bezel, which is form over function. Srsly rhose companies must die , esepcially if they combine it with "curved edges" (another form over function).
Too bad android fanboys have lost it lately. They used to be the function people and the fruit fanboys were the form guys. It is sad that only Apple provides such quality these days...

6.1" device have the perfect W/H/L for me. not that large but good screen size.
Camera, screen quality, water resistence, stereo sound, speed, all will be there, i don't see an Android less than 800$ better than this. I don't like notches, but Android devices not launching good end devices without them are losing me. I don't like samsung devices, and Htc u12 didn't convince me (I've htc u11). I love my device but the size of phone is killing me. i had an htc 10 that was perfect in size. I tried a bigger one....never got used to it....to big in the pants to be confortable walking.

There will not be budget phone from Apple. 600 euro for stripped version will be there so called budget phone. I dont care about what state the 12 is. You or someone talked about budget phones from apple but the mentioned models are 3-4 years old already so they are still crazy over priced and cant be called budget. And i am not a fanboy of android. I just dont see a point to buy a 1000 euro phone for my use. I use phone to make calls and brows news. I dont play games on phones and i dont multitask. I am one of these people who dont stick there nose in the screen all day long. Either walking in the street or going to work in public transport. I listen my music or FM radio. I have few messenger apps like Telegram. My phones have never lagged or i have never understand what means lag on phones.
If we talk about budget phones then the price will end with 300 euro for budget range. From 300 to 500 it's middle range and all over 500 is flagship range. As new phones and not years old phones. People whine the most about phones that dont have known brands and say they dont get updates and support. So what that iphones get support and updates when you get 3-4 years updates and then comes update that will brick your phone or make it slow for the reason that you will go and buy new phone cause your phone is slow with the newest update.

I have always bought phones that cost under 250 euro and even now as my second android phone after windows phone it was 172 euro for Redmi Note 5 AI. You cant say customers as there are just too many people out there who have the money or too much of the people who want to show off that they have money but are leashing it for 3-4 years. Or people with contract that pay 50 euro per month. I bought the note 5 out day 1 and if it breaks down in a year i dont feel so sorry and can buy new one and am not locked in contract.

Consumers are to be blamed for over price devices, regardless of the brand. If any manufacturer launches a devices at some ridiculous rate and we consumers turn our back on such a device, state our reason for not buying trust me nobody would launch a phone Worth $1000. It's just madness considering the fact that we only get few hardware upgrades.
