Xiaomi Redmi 6 with Helio P22 and Redmi 6A with Helio A22 announced

Xiaomi just unveiled the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A with brand new chipsets. The Redmi 6 also comes with dual camera and up to 64GB of storage.

Besides from no public kernel release which is disappointig for developers out there, MediaTek slow but surely repent from its early mistakes. It now focuses on democratizing midrange and/or flagship capabilities to lower-end devices, which you can find out for yourself from the official Web or other sources. Let MediaTek repent from its mistakes and the situation will eventually better :)

It's a refined one with usage of 12nm fabrication process instead of 28nm on P10, all cores rated at max. 2.0 GHz instead of 1.2 GHz LITTLE cluster on P10, and more or less, slight improvement on the GPU department

                      That's nothing new, the iPhone X does this as well. My iPhone 7 also lights up when I pick it up, but I then use TouchID.

Plus, it's a clear improvement over the good ol' SD425 on the SD425/427. Only the possible deal-breaker is the Android updates, which Mediatek was performing much worse at releasing kernel sources than Qualcomm in the past (and probably in the present too)

                            Everyone complaning about helio p22 its actually better than snapdragon 450 in benchmarks, and opens apps more quickly, the only down side is that u cant have higher resolution screens on it...

                              old SoC found in low end device are from OEMs choice. Qualcomm never force any OEMs to use it's old SoC, as Qualcomm only license the SoC and fabricated and used by other OEMs. Qualcomm has developed new low end SoC, but OEMs doesn't bother tho and cheapened out.

                                  And as for Redmi, seems that the Redmi 6 is a sidegrade of Redmi 5.

                                  However the Redmi 6A is a CLEAR improvement of Redmi 5A and to make it funny, Mediatek released their own entry chip without announcements!!! And it was a 2.0Ghz Quad Core with Power VR CHIP!!!!

                                  Now is turn to Qualcomm. Seems that they need to refresh their entry line. Snapdragon 212 and 427 are now things of the past.

                                      Did they finally ran out of their huge stockpile of Sd625 chipset ,I was expecting every mi budget phone with sd625 processor until 2020
