i've had the chance to test the phone at the dispaly in person and tbh the camera has improved dramatically almost made me want to buy it (XZ2) but it's a far cry between its performance and the LG's V30 which in my opinion is the reigning king of camera phones (flagship models only).

        Lol, asking designer opinion which is regardingly worst in an industry, they will tell you that bezels are good, IPS is the best, and single camera is the future, Sony at it's best! :)))))

          Sony wants their phones to look alike with everything else on the market. We've reached the times where every phone looks the same from the front.

                  LOL this camera is just useless. when you photograph grass sony algorithms are complete garbage. and guess what: no campera2api no google camera mod for you. Want to unlock the bootloader? say goodbye to camera FOR EVER. don't buy this DRM garbage

                    All those hating comments about Sony, at least it's still a noticeable brand in the smartphone field! Lol
                    People complaining about bezels, the screen not being OLED, the design, it's always the same thing, and my answer to that is the same too: these smartphones have stereo FRONT FACING speakers, they're the only phones apart from the Pixel 2 XL to have this specification, and if you take a look, the screen to body ratio of these phones is the same, but people only complain about that for the Sony, strange...
                    Then there's the fact that the screen is not OLED: that's not an issue at all, some like OLED, others prefer LCD. Moreover, when I see the issues that were discovered on the Pixel 2 XL screen for example, burn-in being a well-known issue on OLED and other things, LCD is a pretty good choice.
                    Finally the design, this is a matter of taste, nothing more simple. Some like the Sony design, others don't!

                      New curve comfort on hand, faster update, long hour battery and stand for full 2years only Motorola and Fujitsu can match. Pls make LCD durable when hit the ground

                        Finger print sensor on Side button,
                        Uniform thickness with flat back..
                        Perfect radio antina ( not poor like Samsung )
                        And
                        Good battery back up are pros of Sony...

                        Only cons was low ringtone volume...

Repeat: I tried it and almost touched the camera lens. Your finger has to bend unnaturally to reach the fingerprint scanner.

                            d.aimo.n, 13 Jun 2018he said the truth. sony is the slowest in everything. well... moreIts true that its one of kind with hw shutter button, best colors and amount of color detail, 4K screen, but ordinary user won't see small difference in amount of detail or in colors, at least 8f compared to like p20pro, that uses technically higher resolution and AI boost colors to simulate "f1". All they will see will be sharp pic without noise on p20pro, great low light, tele lens and light body, and on xz2 its noisy, even worse in low light, heavy body.
                            Though I would still choose xz2 but new premium, as it should be way better, what would be good enough excuse to ditch phone with bigger sensor, tech resolution, less noise, tele lens, light body...
                            Compared yesterday a bit, its big difference. Wouldn't I know tech behind xperia camera, I would choose huawei right away.
                            Feels like they scare customers away to me.

                              Melt-down, 12 Jun 2018They are just making excuses for the lack of headphone jack.Well , someone here already said , but i'll say it again . I understand lack of 3.5mm jack isn't a great thing . But according to some people that has relatives working at Sony , including the manufacturing , designers and engineering , the hidden reason why Sony had to axed the 3.5mm headphone jack from their phones was about their headphones ratio sales matter outside the design changes sake from OmniBalance+Loop Surface into OmniBalance+Ambient Flow . They said their own wireless headphone (that including the WH-1000XM2 that featured in XZ2 and Compact promotional video) sales surpassed their own wired headphones in 2017 closing-entries financial reports , which could be unsurprisingly , as wireless as every year got bigger than wired . Sony could unwilling doing the jackless trend by finding this report , but they had to do it .

                              It may sounds unlogical to remove headphone jack , but it'll changed when all companies removed headphone jack been occurred in the future , well that's it for the 140-year-old technology .

                                Change for the good.

                                    This phone is slimmer than i thought when i saw it irl. Although compared with other phone is slightly bulky.

                                      Ugly FAT, HEAVY, phone with no 3.5mm jack and Side Fingerprint.... Annndd OVERPRICED!!!!

                                        I already said this too many times but I'll say it again, try the camera on XZ2 and hold your judgement on XZ2P before commenting.
