Apple's 2019 iPhones to finally adopt USB-C, rumor says

For a long time it's been said that we'd see the universal connector in this year's models.

As someone commented: it will be USB C to Lightning, because proper crapple adapter wont go anywhere, they earn lots of money charging patents from the Lightning port and anyone can make them will pay a porcentage to crapple so...

crapple is capitalist and is unfair with theyr costumers so, people who buy crapple will need to keep on going buying that sshhhhiiiittt, because people are s t u p i d enough to keep giving salaries to this overrated and overpriced company. PERIOD.

    Not a chance when they are getting heaps of revenue from third party products using their proprietary connector.

    But welcome nonetheless.

      And by having usbC to lightning cable, they need to bundle the MacBook charger in the phone or some kind of fast charger, which in turn kill the profit scheme they come up with marketing fast charging that sold seperately

        Just waiting on them to get rid of the hideous notch by 2020. Their three-year design cycles. At least this year's iPhones are going back to metal backs. Feel sorry for the X suckers.

          Not gonna Happen, Apple literally earns hundreds of millions in certifying Lightning ported accessories, would would bthey switch to USB-C??? Doesn't make sense for a company like Apple that maxes out in Profits

            Yep, usb-C to ligthning cable is most likely candidate. Otherwice people could use non Apple devices with Apple.. the horror!

              When it's Apple, you surely know they are gonna use type c at the end which goes into the charger, and the same technologically advanced, the biggest innovation in charging ports, the "Lightning" port at the phone's end.
              A great strategy for increasing the margin even more for the most profitable company, as now people will have to buy they macbooks with type c port, or a separate "Apple" certified lightning to USB cables for connecting to other PCs. A very small measure, which without impacting the costs, and at least a couple billions to their yearly profits.
              I am wondering why they did not think of this earlier!
