Is it half screen fingerprint scanner or just a spot. Price is good usually vivo overprices its product but this is great. Gsmarena waiting for review

Looks gorgeous from the front but the back is butt ugly. Also the durability of the popup camera is a concern. What happens if the phone drops while the camera is out?

I'd rather have half the screen with huge bezels and instead an actually good camera, real keyboard...or even a damn razer to shave..anything actually useful rather than just screen.

We're going from 18:9 to 18.5:9 to 19:9 and now 19.3:9. Great. I can't wait to see 20:9 and then official 21:9 which is what #ultrawidemasterrace is!

I don't even look at promo images now or believe such claims as 91% screen-to-body ratio. I watch a high resolution hands-on video to gauge what the device looks like... or fire up the calculator app to calculate s-t-b ratio.
And yes, I mentioned in a different comment that the extra tall aspect ratio is a turn off. If it were a 18:9 device with the same pixel pitch, i.e. 2160x1080 resolution, it would have been a 6.23" device and would have been 10.2mm shorter; much more practical and manageable IMO. (a fun fact, with 16:9 ratio and same pixel pitch, screen size would have been just 5.68")

ViX, 12 Jun 2018I'm quite concerned regarding it's durability on mechanism ... morepeople these days replace phone very often mostly 2 year max they keep a phone with them so this camera will surely last quite a time until then new gen will make it more better gen by gen

That under-display fingerprint scanner and that retractable front camera, hummmm !
We'll see if all those still work after one year of using the phone.

Good effort but I can't see this model outside China as it is. Both this and the 'A' are more like tablets and reportedly 199 grams. Surely with a stb ratio of more than 90% we want phones to shrink! For me the maximum size is that of the iPhone8+ and that's coming from someone who thinks the iPhoneX needs to slim down
