Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Chinese pre-orders confirmed to start on July 2

Besides , every design has its own function , not just form . What's the point of a very bezel-less design phone form with no great function intact at all ? Sure , XZP does have a vacuum place inside the frame , but that does mean XZP is a bad phone in all terms just because of frame ? It feels like you're judging the book without seeing the insider (28 vs 10nm doesn't matter for now) . Hence , once again , bezel sometimes useful for people who needs to put their hands on the phones without touching this , that (bezel-less , edge-screen sometimes can occur) . At least XZP design better and stand-out than copying notches on smartphones nowadays (I know , these made based on economics theory where sounds : "That so people could afford the same-thing as the expensive one , but much lower price by copying it, but this gone way too far for this scale , could ruined Android unique landscape in just second , leaving Blackberry , Samsung , Sony in this respect aspect).

They've even ... moreFine , if your XZ1 doesn't live your expectations as you could one of few defects XZ1 in productions as there's no perfect company exist , including in production , i can accomodate it as long you want (still , can't denied XZ1 still has a great software support till now due some OEM flagships doesn't have one good software support like XZ1 , Nokia 8 , Pixel , and Note8) .

        But for your statement of Samsung is no.1 , well i can accept that as most fact it does . But you do have to remember this . Xiaomi and Huawei are rapidly gaining on Top 5-10 smartphones producer this year as they accommodate people with their phones with one basic strategy : High specs , Low price . Samsung had once fallen into 2nd in India after Xiaomi take over the first place of Smartphones based selling in 2017 after Redmi Note 4 was a huge success . If Samsung decided on choosing the wrong lane in the age of rising of Xiaomi , Huawei , Oppo-Vivo-OnePlus (BBK Electronics) by doing releasing J series everytime like it doesn't end , yet having worse specs than Redmi series or Honor series , or giving theirs higher price or omitting a important feature or trending feature like USB Type-C on their phones (hence , Xperia L2 has one) , don't expect Samsung to reign longer .

        Now i'm saying this not because i hate Samsung . It's because global markets are changing again rapidly and Xiaomi-Huawei are the companies could take this tight-competition , and Samsung should have feel this coming . And just to let you know , Samsung biggest input coming revenue is from their J series , not A series , or even Note-S series , as those sells the most . If J series lost the competition after Redmi or Honor conquered , this could impact others . Sure , all Samsung Galaxy are great , but if its too much like flooding the markets in a period , it feels like wrong-decision chances are there .

          Ahh, the good old design still remains until now.

It was simply a vey clunky design. No matter how many times you deny that or dance around it wont change that. And it is especially true because it's completely and utterly non utilized. Ju5st useless waisted space.
            Compare the dimension of the xzp to the se. Then take into accountthe difference if time of release, screen size, battery size, speaker loudness... not much difference to justify all of the above, and even factors of 28nm vs 10nm chip.

            The xzp is the actual epitome of what people talk about Sony and bezels.

              Sony is still a great brand. They had some bad decisions in the past, but nobody except lovers of cheap design is interested in those discussions about bezels. I don´t care about bezels and I would never buy Samsung, LG or some Chinese brands. Maybe Nokia, but first they should offer a real flagship and they should use more of the Lumia design language. XZ2 Premium is about camera and I guess camera will be great this time.

They make one poor decision after another ruining all the potential they have. They already slightly ruined the look and feel of their ui. They ruined their design. They have zero support. Took years to fix sudden death if they even fully did. They severely hold back their camera. Took them easy too long to start to step up the speaker game.

                Why can't Sony just be Sony? And offer a true Sony flagship? If they just offered a true Sony flagship and actually released it they would roll in so much profit.

                      xXENDER FREAKXx, 13 Jun 2018U know, it will be the best option available if one brand d... moreWell , most OEM , except for Sony and Apple for current time before they moved 100% into a new weird-and-new aspect ratio such as 18:9-19.5:9 , don't make 2 different flagships with different aspect ratio (one is traditional-yet-capable 16:9 and one is modern-and-futuristic 18:9 and narrower) as they have to keep the trend in order to survive of very-fast changing in gadgets world . But sometimes , they forgot to make sure all aspects are accommodate simultaneously , especially multimedia in such foreign ratios for phones (for communication tools and social stuffs is already staffed) .

                      iPhone 8 and 8+ and XZ2 Premium are for multimedia needs , while iPhone X , XZ2 Compact and XZ2 are for communications setups . But i think , these 6 phones are gonna be the last flagship to have separation aspect ratios for different needs :( . But i optimistic , near future , 18:9 could have a great accommodate for multimedia needs once all OEM and third-party could have optimization on multimedia aspects .

                        It was for :
                        1.) They packed a lot of things inside the XZP in a compact one on bottom and upper bezel , even they had a vacuum place , still need to have bezel to keep in intact
                        2.) Better preventing cracked-screen , as bezel-frame is to make sure the screen protected
                        etc (more details on the article)

                        Remember , engineering is very hard work to do , especially you need to put a lot a things intact in a small size like an smartphone or even Smart Watch , compact cars , and anything that needs engineering , you should at least appreciated once even it doesn't appeal to most nowadays-people taste in smartphone industry .
