They've even closed down development of Xperia Launcher. Meanwhile the brand you keep bashing, Samsung is world number one right now. So stop defending a company that is fooling you with fat overpriced outdated Devices, I bought the XZ1 and it sucks! My friends s8 produces far better photos in any given situation and to top it all off, there is no night light, no double tap to wake or sleep, no multiwindow, no private secure folder the only reason why Sony phones are fast is because they disable even basic android features, also the phone was more expensive than s8 and the camera doesn't even have OIS! Shame. XZ2's design is atrocious. Looks like a HTC u11+ iPhone 3g + Xperia neo. I hope Sony closes its mobile business.

The xzp was simply a very chunky designed phone with massive bezels. And the only reason that is an issue is because of how pathetically that excess space was utilized.

        Best camera phone? Not even close. The images are too over sharpened and noisy. When they first announced the sensor the lies about the pixel size increase.
        And none of these phones holds a candle to my nokia 808 in how beautiful images come out

          Stick with Quality, performance and durable Sony cells. Plus Sony has great support updates.

                Guess it's for most multimedia things done right. 18:9 has a caveat of that black bar in most situation. 16:9 is still better for movies, especially when u are pirating things lmao.

                So yeah, for those who couldn't shut the feck up, u might just being noisy w/ that screen. For me, since I'm mainly a gamer, I naturally prefer 18:9 screen tbh (due to increased room for the controls of the game when in landscape mode), however I find this phone's screen to be superb, even tho it's using 16:9 ratio. And the cam. And the vid cam. The only real caveat is the lack of 3.5mm jack, which I found it to be rather acceptable, but a bit unforgivable.

                  TheGoldenMellifluous, 13 Jun 2018They already stated in GSMArena previous article about beze... moreU know, it will be the best option available if one brand decides to support both 16:9 and 18:9 aspect ratios for a smartphone's display, and have this idea of changing between the two aspect ratios seamlessly, but sadly there isn't anyone that can make that into a reality yet, I get it because it is hard to switch aspect ratios seamlessly. Computer monitors is one example, changing aspect ratios in a pc game setting would take a second or two to change, and not in a blink of an eye. I don't know when this will be implemented into future smartphones or even computers, but it is definitely a good idea

                    You guys are pathetic.... Bezels, bezels. If you cry about bezels you get notch then and then again you cry, OMG what a big notch, why?...
                    You get what you ask in my opinion.
                    This phone with has perfect size with perfect ratio 16:9. With 18:9 phones you get black bars on the video that are as big, if not bigger than bezzels on SONY phone. So you dont mean anything anyway. Its better to not have screen at place you dont use that you can press accidentally, if you have bezzel in same place you will avoid headache pressing things you dont need just by holding phone.

                      While Samsung is still current the king of Android , but if they release that same sh*t endless J series every 1-2 weeks that has a worse specs than Xperia XA2 and L2 or even Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera or 5 Plus and brothers (outside their S and Note series flagships greatness) with the eternal Exynos 7870 processor from 2 years ago since J7 2016 (J series is good , but why every weeks there always been a new family on the J Series?) , don't be surprise if either Huawei or Xiaomi could take over Samsung No.1 spot in few years from this statement from now if they're doing again and again . And XZ1 as World's first Oreo-powered phone , while wasn't a flawless phone as it has flaw , at least it got security patches affection every month to 2 months . That's better than fate of World's first Nougat-powered phone , LG V20 that fate hasn't been known .

                          Our eye can barely notice differences of pixel density over 300ppi (let alone 700-800ppi like this one), and surely it's tasking the GPU a lot, lot harder than those phones equipped with 1080p or 1440p screen, so well the 4K screen on a phone display is more or less just for bragging rights only.

                                  Mister, 13 Jun 2018i think xz2/pro will fail to impress the crowd. z5p was the... moreThey already stated in GSMArena previous article about bezels , camera and design ; reason why XZ2P has 16:9 with those amount bezels instead 18:9 thin bezel , was because if you're doing multimedia things on 16:9 , it does look better with no black bars intrude on the side as 16:9 are the most-used aspect ratio in multimedia section (Movies , TV, etc.) , while 18:9 is for better communication due narrower design to make a comfortable-using (bigger display , smaller height) . But , they find the way to make 18:9 looks better when doing multimedia things on the successor of XZ2 Premium .

                                        I dont trust youtubers because they also can be using wrong settings on purpose to make A looks better than B.
