As a mobile phone dealer and avid reader of GSMA I can't help but notice the "hate" for the apple name from many smartphone users. I have used and owned Android, BlackBerry, Windows 7 and Windows mobile, all of which have a selling point. The reason I went for an iPhone was simply because I actually like the iTunes thing.
As a technical consultant I spend most of my day looking at directory structures and/or command line screens and it is nice to use something that does everything for me. I'm sure there are alternatives out there but I haven't found them yet. I think the nearest was Win7 and Zune but due to the email issues I got another iPhone.
I can see why people bash a popular device but it is not the be all and end all of handsets. I much prefer the look and screen resolution of the Galaxy S II.
All Apple have done is become a victim of it's own success. They don't have to advertise their devices because word of mouth has proven to be the biggest marketing tool. They don't advertise on TV in the UK they just get the networks to do the advertising for them!
Yes Apple dominate the headlines for good and bad reasons but lets not forget that Nokia, Microsoft, Samsung, Google and BlackBerry have their fair share of shadiness behind them!?!

As an additional note, it is not just apps either. Due to the uniformity of the iPhone eco-system, it is easy for manufacturers to produce nice little add-ons with confidence. An example is the new add-on below, which allows 360 panoramic videos to be shot.

My personal opinion, the best would be to have an Android Iphone or iPod Touch combo, to have the best of both worlds. Don't miss out guys, there's a lot of tech to be enjoyed out there.

As somebody who has used both Android and iPhone, my advice to Android users is please use it first, before making judgment. I am not saying that you will suddenly convert, but the iPhone 'x' factor lies not in its tech specs, but everything coming together, including some brilliant apps and games, to provide a great user interface.
Some will like it, some will not, that's totally ok, but I feel sorry for those who bash and never gave it a chance, as I feel that you may be surprised if you actually tried it out.

nothin surprising bout iphone 5...people already know the specs unless it comes with quad core processor, then il get it....and by the way..china already has iphone 6....its not nes anymore apple....

Now another production problems for iphone 5, which is touch screen. Taiwan-based manufacturing company Wintek is having some trouble with the iPhone 5 panels it is producing, It may be only iPhone 4S available in October.

People that want quality with performance with an Operating system that works seamlessly with their Mac computers, ipads, ipods and itunes go for iPhones.

Bloomberg reports that Taiwanese company VIA Technologies has filed a patent lawsuit against Apple, alleging infringement by the processors used in Apple's mobile devices.
Via, a semiconductor maker based in Taipei, seeks a jury trial and an order to prohibit Cupertino, California-based Apple from selling products containing the inventions in the U.S., according to a complaint filed yesterday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware.
“The products at issue generally concern microprocessors included in a variety of electronic products such as certain smartphones, tablet computers, portable media players and other computing devices,” Via said in the complaint.
The patent lawsuit is clearly targeting Apple's custom ARM-based A4 and A5 processors used in its recent iOS devices, as the filings name the following devices as being addressed by the complaint: iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPod touch 4th generation, and Apple TV 2nd generation.
VIA had previously been part of a joint venture behind S3 Graphics, which won a U.S. International Trade Commission judgment against Apple several months ago in a separate complaint, but sold the company to HTC just days after that victory.

Apple has made more money then the rest because they've learned how to market there products very well. All phones companies are laughing all the way to the bank because they know you'll be back to buy another tumor maker..sorry..cell phone...

oh well its bitch time again. personally. the iphone 5 will be the best selling phone. because it has the sex appeal. i agree Samsung Galaxy SII looks and performs awesome. but alas its not an apple product. so will sell very well. but just not in the league of Iphone. Shame but the sad truth is. Apple always have had a winning formula, and i dont think this model will be any different to all the others. so be prepared for an awesome phone that will sell millions.
