Anonymous, 14 Jun 2018I don't see why any company needs to keep hold of your card... moreThey are kept so that the store can re-print a till receipt up to 30 days after purchase, also Carphone warehouse will keep card details for their PAYM customers

Not good, especially if you customer who knows when they going to use your data and you will not have a clue what happened, could be after 6 months or 1 year, but they will use it

I don't see why any company needs to keep hold of your card details after purchase unless you are on some kind of subscription service. After a few months the details should be erased automatically!

About 10yrs ago carphone warehouse near me wouldn't let you pay cash for a phone only on a card, then ppl were being pestered down the phone to buy phone insurance and there bank details breached, they deserve to go bust far as I'm concerned!

                Oops. This is bad.

I think the way to solve this issue is to not store millions of people credit card info in one central location, and why they gotta save all that why not encrypt it at least ??
