Xiaomi already testing Android 8.1 Oreo for Mi A1

Reportedly, Xiaomi is testing Android 8.1 Oreo for Mi A1 so the final OTA update should come very soon.

Something is wrong with this so-called "android one" phone. Why are Xiaomi delivering the updates, isn't Google supposed to update android one devices??

    what kind of this android one runs on mi a1 huh xiaomi? android 8.1 released 6 months ago and now it arrived on mi a1?, other xiaomi phones released in first half of 2018 already had android 8.1 and mi a1 still not have 8.1, what a joke! is this mean xiaomi mi a1 is a trash to xiaomi and google? this is very disappointed to all who have xiaomi mi a1 smartphone. hope xiaomi or google, or both read my comment and fix this sh*t. when will android p arrive for mi a1? next year?

      So my Redmi Note 5 AI got Android 8.1 before this Mi A1? I thought Android One phones had faster updates.

        I am surprised it's not running 8.1 yet. Nokia phones which were not officially branded "Android one" had received 8.1 long back.
        Have to see how long it takes to get it to P.

          I tough it had 8.1 long ago when it's a vanilla droid and should get updates.
