I refrained from including the older QSD 805 and QSD 653 SoC's, they're either too thirsty or don't support 64-bit Apps which is a concern.

The SD660 would have made more sense than the SD821. But this is Asus we're talking about.. SD821 is an EOL product.

Hm, SD821 uses a Linux kernel with end of life in jan 2017, so security will be a problem after Google stops patching the dead Linux kenel in october 2019, when Pixel (2016) support ends.

I think this phone is quite good for this price... Higher mid-range price for higher level phones.

This is ZenFone AR himself, just rebranded.

gohelvishalp, 15 Jun 2018Just imagine.. Replace 821 with 710 or 845 and IP certification Errm why?

821 is better for everything benchmarks aside.

I dont hear any news its available in Nougat unless using root access. Though I do heard the testing was done on Pixel, Samsung, Huawei, LG and Asus running Nougat 7.0 which probably include this Zenfone AR. AR based apps and AR stickers is only available for android 8.1 above from what I know as Google revealed it on Pixel phones. Thanks for info anyway.

If you are using last year's flagship's chipset your phone is super midrange, but if you are using previous generations faulty chipset, nobody would buy the phone!!!!
