This is newsworthy? The "cupcakes" on the OP forum that endelessly complain about battery drain after EVERY update are CLUELESS. it's corrupt app data EVERY TIME. reset and setup as new phone to erase corrupt data.

Thank god i didn't update but i know 1+ will fix this soon.

My oneplus 3 was working fine and after updating to oxygen OS 5.0.3 my phone started having two problems....
First for no reason I’m having sudden full page ads. I added no extra apps to my phone after update and it was fine before the update .
Second my battery have gone down...first use I to charge my phone twice a day now at least four times a day as my battery drains faster after the update...

And yet they forget to mention that 95% of all those complains on the forum come from Indians.
I'm running 5.1.8 with yero problems and an sot of 7h+ with heavy usage.

It's been weeks if not even months and your comments about brands from china are still the same you are like a parrot saying the same things over and over again, I don't have any problems with that though its just that it makes me wonder what would be the ideal market environment for someone like you, its not like you have any influence or power to erase brands from china other than just complaint. I believe that the more brands out there the better for us as consumers.

Because of my Samsung experience I'll never buy another. The company will never take responsibility for it. I'm forever nervous about updates and always hold off. Let's face it, an update barely ever does anything good. Of you are happy with your phone as is. Don't feel compelled to take an update unless maybe its to correct a known concerning vulnerability.

Not going to say this thing is a battery champ by any means. Adequate is the best word to describe it on that front, but the latest update hasn't altered the situation in any way (at least in my case).

Like you say, some may be affected but not all.

It's just that some updates do break down some phones out there.
You search the internet and you'll definitely find hundreds complaining about their high end Galaxy flagships as well.
Not that I am saying OP should not fix this asap.

Yes, they are expensive but they are compromise devices.. No notch, headphone jack, oled screen and stable OS. Not sure why everyone keeps complaining about galaxy s9+ but I've got one and I love it! Never had any issues. Sony's software is great but the average looking new design, lcd screen, lack of headphone jack and no OIS in camera made me avoid the XZ2.

While launching I had issues with LTE with my second SIM which they could not address it eventually, changed the provider and made it work! So far no battery drain issues or network issues. Maybe something to do with some regions. Clearly, OP6 needs a good amount of testing. It is not as though unusable but good enough for students, semi-pros, individuals etc...Certainly, Professionals need to be aware of its short comings.

I have updated to the last version, no issues here for 2 weeks now

If you want good software then only go for Samsung high end and upper mid-range or some highly selling lower-midranger or a Sony high end phone.
Never buy a low-end or unpopular lower mid-range device from Samsung and avoid all Sony phones below $500.
