The price is near Redmi Note 5 AI (Redmi Note 5 China). So, this is the smaller version of it but with worse chipset ( SD636 vs SD625). For price / perfomance ratio, Redmi Note 5 AI is better because SD636 is quite more powerfull. The difference price of them is just arround $20 for the basic version (3/32).

To all notch and chin haters. When the notch is hidden and used only for notifications and battery area, the phone looks symmetrical and the free space is utilized.

G Rider, 25 Jun 2018Snapdragon 625 again??? Borrrrrrrrrring. What is different between the SD625 and the Kirin 659 and the Exynos 7870? People whine when there is a thousandth phone with either the Kirin ir the Exynos.

All 3 of them are very high efficiency processors. And they give you more power than enough for daily tasks (if I, as a power user, could use without any issues a phone with a SD410 in 2016 and 2017, then there is no reason a regular user cannot be perfectly fine with a SD625). Of course you might ask for a SD636, 630 or just the slightly faster SD626, but the SD625 is so much cheaper today so you can get other components in the same phone at the same price (better camera, better RAM, worse screen)

G Rider, 25 Jun 2018Snapdragon 625 again??? Borrrrrrrrrring.625 is still capable these days. Why would you even bother though? Also, Xiaomi LOVES SD625 since they have a lot of stock.

Seriously, old internals in a new body? Just put a notched screen on your old phone, give it a new number-name and voila - you have a new device! This is what Xiaomi is doing. Xiaomi, yo do make some good budget devices, but come one, 625 processor is way too old for today.

It's like Google Assistant is not enough and we need proprietary one, I bet is as useless as it is but just for the sake of marketing and extra "feature" Huawei can brag about :)))
