Meanwhile, Android's freedom of choice allows you to remove useless bloatware by installing custom ROMs etc.

Apple will copy Huawei in 4 years with a triple camera set up

Vegetaholic, 26 Jun 2018Android as better OS check, anything else irrelevant, good luck ... morePlus, you don't need to install a custom ROM after one and a half, 2 years, because iPhones are supported 4-5 years.

Vegetaholic, 26 Jun 2018Android as better OS check, anything else irrelevant, good luck ... moreYou just enumerated all the problems Android has, plus no interface prioritization, so the lag is worse. I only had android phones till now, but I don't see android as a superior OS. It is easily customizable, but that's about where the advantages stop. Phones become laggy not after 2 but after 1 year. Also. phones are cheaper, which is also great, but lets be honest that from support, longevity and re-sell-ability point of view, iPhones are better.

Still that one camera from Iphone can produce better photos than some Android dual cameras. And even if its 6.1 inch, Apple can make that compact device. Will have to wait till release to see it all.

Kangal, 26 Jun 2018I wonder what Apple's sales numbers are for the iPhone 5S in 201... moreI think Lineup a is more acceptable in reality with a thousand dollar price tag for the bigger iPhone.

Rob, 26 Jun 2018"Budget" model my ***. Was hoping for something priced similarly... moreWell I didint expected nothing else you get average device for triple price than any Android phone with same specs, that is Apple "magic" :)

I wonder what Apple's sales numbers are for the iPhone 5S in 2015, and the iPhone SE.
That data will tell how much demand there is for a "small" iPhone. If it is high, then it might be Apple's flagship. If it is low, then it might be entry level.

According to that Apple should have some options, such as:
- Option A (linear increase)
iPhone X-mini, iPhone X, iPhone X-Plus
US$599, $799, $999
5.2in, 5.8in, 6.5in
LCD, OLED, OLED
faceID 1, fID 2, fID 2
Solo cam, Dualcam, Dualcam
2GB RAM, 4GB, 4GB
2000mAh, 2600mAh, 3100mAh

- Option B (split flagships)
iPhone X-mini, iPhone X, iPhone X-Plus
US$799, $649, $999
5.2in, 5.8in, 6.5in
OLED, LCD, OLED
fID 2, fID 1, fID 2
Dualcam, Solo cam, Dualcam
4GB, 2GB, 4GB
2600mAh, 2500mAh, 3100mAh

...how does a lineup seem to you guys?

Zoz, 26 Jun 2018How is the G7 better than an iPhone? Better software support? No... moreAndroid as better OS check, anything else irrelevant, good luck stuck with inferior closed eco OS, no 3.5mm Jack, no SD card, crappy battery life and throttling after your battery will fail one year using your iphone. Yes definitely G7 is better choice, once G7 will be not supported, you can easely install custom ROM and make your phone like new, oh sorry you can't do that with your iPhone which will lag after few years, too bad...

"Budget" model my ***. Was hoping for something priced similarly to SE.

croIrish, 25 Jun 2018hi hi.... you can buy G7 it is better and cheaper than this How is the G7 better than an iPhone? Better software support? Nope. Better security updating? Nope. Better CPU performance? Nope. Better daily performance? Nope. Better battery life? Nope.
Not sure how reception compares but otherwise G7 isn't really better in any way.
I am not an iPhone fan, but credit is due, where it's deserved.

What about mentioned dual SIM?

Another, to be frank an "overpriced" phone. For $700, one can get an even better spec'd phone with very good overall performance. People need to stop patronizing it. Smh. Pity those who will be fooled. Again.

entry level for the price of flagship...wat da ef!

Nah. They're "budget" iPhone will still be expensive af. Just like their failed iPhone 5C, where the "C" probably stood for Cost Cutting for more $$$$ in profits.

If I were to buy any of the new iPhones (yeah, like that'll ever happen. lol), I'd pick the refreshed 5.8" OLED model since it'll get better tech and specs (and better battery life due to OLED) than the LCD one at around $100 to 200 difference. Plus, I prefer smaller phones (I don't like huge phones. I'd rather get a tablet than a huge phone).
