LG... still waiting for a TRUE ...V10/V20 Successor. I will say it again and forever.... the V10 and V20 are Super Outstanding Multimedia-Content Creating Machines. I hope that Storm you're brewing changes the future of Thinking ! You're Awesome LG !

Hopefully, the 3rd rear-camera is what Sony calls a "luminance data" sensor as used in their XZ2 Premium. Together with larger RGB OIS/EIS sensors for its wide and superwide cameras, the V40 could be a real upgrade from the V30/35 and G7.
Also, WiFi should be updated to 802.11ax.

You can't toggle wide angle with just one camera. Apple proved that people like to get close up shots without going physically closer to their subject. Say all you want about telephoto being useless, but the iphone sales tell a different story. Hawuei wanted that same feature without giving up monochrome, so they added a third lens and did pixel binning. Trying to say it was just a gimmick is insane. The technology is brilliant, and brings features people actually use. The sales say it anyways.

The Nokia 808 and 1020 are the exceptions, because they can capture much more details than any other phone in the world. They are competitors of dedicated digital cameras. They have large, almost 1" sensor.
A great single camera is much better than multiple crap cameras.
More than 4 CPU cores are not very useful, because most apps and games are single threaded.

More cameras actually has the potential to bring benefits. Zoom, wider capture, less noise by processing data from two sensors, and where then the random noise can be deducted, sure it can be done by HDR shooting modes, with a series of images, but that doesn't work for moving objects.
Higher counts of megapixels have been a benefit on actual cameras, but for mobiles, it went too far, before technology was mature. I would say that neither the Nokia 808, 1020 or the Huawei P20 Pro high megapixel sensors actually can capture details anywhere near their specified resolution. All of them often relied on a mode where they actually attempted pixel-binning, to create a virtual larger pixel by the output of several of pixels.
CPU cores are useful, because they allow for more processing power with less energy consumption compared to CPUs with fewer cores that are clocked higher.

3/4 camera is enough for a mobile phones
If u want to improve in camera quality then should be work on camera sensor not number of camera

The amount of cameras race is much worse and much more primitive than what the megapixel race and CPU cores race was.

No matter how many camera u put in one smartphone to avail different functions it is always the quality of main camera offcourse high grade and in built software that makes all this functions as one. Google pixel as does way better then 3 in Huawei P20 Pro and SAMSUNG with two camera also stands at different level. So the battle should be on the ground of default camera the main camera that all company need to work with. May be they can produce image processor for mobile phone camera may be lens can get a bit bigger or may be the phone hardware department can put a single compartment inside a phone to fit in more lenses for better zoom wider pictures. It's time mobile camera should create more bigger example of how better it can be in rather small form factor.
