Asus probably announcing car. So Asus Zenfone 5z would be a car branded phone like Porsche and Lamborghini. That's explain the high price.

It's the free market where everyone can price what ever they like. Same like in here we have commercials that Samsung A6 2017 has minus 140 euro price cut and the cost is 259 euro. While this phone have never cost 400 euro even when it was released year ago. People see it and go run for it while they get not price cut.

Guys don't be shocked, Asus is making the market warm or next Gen. iPhones in 2.000$ price range. sure iPhone 15 will be as expensive as a Mercedes and it will be only a board, Apple did drop every single feature and you have to buy Display, headphone jack, charger port, charger, sim card tray, speakrs and etc. as dongle for 5.000$ extra.
